    Oh! It's digital. That's how you got it to look like that. It's like a watercolor of a solid object.

      I was just scratching my head at how you made a physical model look like that. There's nothing wrong with it, it's like 2d, but also 3d in some places. It would be an eye catching effect on a physical tabletop model.

      That's it! It's a photo on top of a 3d shape, as opposed to painting the 3d shape. It would be like if I had a decal that was my entire paint job and I put that decal on the model. Now I'm trying to work out in my head if this could be done with a physical model.
