  • Hi. Thanks for your post @Furion But there is something I’m not getting. Maybe (and most likely) my knowledge of the rule is not good on the matter. I don’t understand why 4 shabti could not be engaged : 1- is it because the second shabti unit does not allow them to close the door completely ?on the diagram it looks fine for only 2 out. 2- even so , if they can’t close the door, is it not the elves that have to do so ? Thus getting only 2 out of combat due to the point of contact ? Maybe the dia…

  • Did you made these ? Can we buy them somewhere ?

  • Our hobby is just about sharing. Seeing amazing armies at tournaments has always been a motivation for me. The forum makes the spectrum wider, giving possibilities to see stuff from anywhere in the world. Sometimes this is frustrating, I can understand the feeling, to see people with better skills. But at the same time you can learn a lot and get inspired at many levels (conversion, basing, painting... etc). It all matters where you set your goals in the end... Actually this is exactly the same …

  • This was indeed unlucky (99% chance of success with bsb). However, my point was, even if you did not flee, your main block would have been blocked for a while. To be honest I see it this way : Let's say you roll like 5 discipline check per game with your block (unit destroyed, loose combat, units flee through, etc... ) You will fail once every 20game. That is why I prefer having two small blocks instead of a big one. Not to mention the chaff possibilities..

  • Question about empire Death Warrant If the wielder is in a duel, against a character inside a unit and scores a hit against him, does the effect (battle focus for parent and support unit) works against the enemy character unit or it does not work at all because it's only the character that was hit ? What about a unit champion ?

Hello, my vote : (thanks for the work) Pikemen M4 OS4/DS4 S3 T3 A1 I3 W1 Dis8 Heavy Armor, Pike scoring, Desertion Renown: "Brigade of Brinoz" Brinoz M4 OS4/DS4 S4 T4 A3 I4 W1 Dis8 Can pick one rule: 2) Phalanx tactics: This unit can purchase Ogres the same way as Skinks can purchase Caimans. Ogres fight the same way as Caimans do in Skink unit. The first rank can fire crossbows and switch to pikes in combat. 3) "Leopard Spirit" Unit gain "Leopard Cloak" (+1 Armour close combat), Fearless Crossb…

  • I guess you have the arcane shield on the second engine or on the wizard ? This is an interesting list. I like the pegasus also ! But very different from mine. I have to say I love the crossbows because it kills chaff very easily, and can also threaten other things. Your list lacks of shooting IMO. But it's faster and probably more powerful in CC. So that's a matter of choice. Again, I' don't like putting all eggs in the same basket, so 38IG is too much for me.

  • One block = easy chaff. Mantle of ullor can work on both if the bsb is placed correctly. I think it's always better to have multiple threats than just one. Proof is, when I faced a mirror match vs 38IG. Just blocked it with the prelate + potent of doom. Challenged because I had his general and wizard in contact. He accepted and got blocked. Eventually He lost combat because he forgot to reform into ranks... And failed his Ld and I chased him down. Should not happen but you can easily chaff / blo…

  • Quote from Adaephon_Delat: “Very nice infantry list @Scorbol! How often did you loose that wizard on arcane engine and the altar? ” Thanks, I love this list. Plays on every phase, nice synergies with orders, quite tactical placement... etc. But definitely not OP because it has weaknesses. Never lost the prelate if I recall correctly (but there was not much artillery). Lost the wizard a couple of times (one very poor miscast 2d6 s4 ap2), a very lucky 2 gargoyle charge (2wounds failed LD , runned …

  • Thing is, in most cases getting distracting with GW is better on paper. But with Foresight and divination, you can strike at your agi AND be distracting. Shield engine does not work with this list because then 2spells of divination are useless and you have no opportunity of striking first, which is the strength of the list. Most of the time you 4dice +2agi, opponents has to dispell. If he does, you can cast distractig and/or 5++ ward...

  • Quote from greentide: “Quote from Scorbol: “Hello, here is the list I used at two GT the past weeks in New Jersey and Toronto. ” Exciting army list.I´m surprised the two blocks of GW wielding guardsmen work without the arcane shield. You rely on getting some buffs through or losing some bodies but causing a lot of damage with those hatred filled S6 attacks I guess. Do you usually run them 5/6 wide with orders for attacking from 3 ranks or even horde formation? ” I have the foresight engine + man…

  • Did not hope for anything so no disappointment . Mostly for the divination range as mentioned above. And lots of #1 spells are pretty useful !

  • Hello folks, came back from the GT in New Jersey. Couldn't wait to posts the results and feelings as it was a blast for me ! Big thanks to the TO @Necho II for the event. Very well organised. I tried to make some pictures during game one with the intention to make some reports. Unfortunately I could't keep up (it is harder than I imagined ! ). So here is a short resume of the games, with only a few pictures, sorry... First a picture of my army on "display" : the-ninth-age.com/community/ga…eb3fa9…

  • If a unit is charged both in flank and front and a character is not engaged with any of the charging unit : Can he make way to the corner to be able to attack the flanking unit ? I know normally if he is charged in the flank he can't but since there is a unit in the front it seems possible. Looks odd ..

  • Thanks for the results and organization again @Necho II Favorite army ! It really makes my day guys, thanks. Btw, I'd appreciate if people could send me pictures of armies / battles because I forgot to take any... You can email me some at : lecoledufan@hotmail.com Thanks !
