    All the characters went up 5-10 points. So while it looks like Warcry got free, the points were stealthed back into the characters (even at basic, general, bsb, and wizard it's a 30 point increase, good forbid you took lots of little characters on gnashers and Chariots and such, guess it was overpowered) Gnasher herds were increased again after a decrease, no big surprise.

    I don't think the idea is to be ultra realistic. Just balancing what each gear can do. Regardless of what is could or should do. Most troops, if all they have is hand weapon and shield, aren't putting out much offense. They aren't breaking the game by being hit on average rolls. Chaos warriors, of course, being the exception.

    I really don't think there increase to necromancers was necessary, they are our only regular, non-super expensive caster option, of course everyone had them. Also the regular non-mount court lamia blood ties upgrade, what is the real price? 75pts, 90pts or 95pts?

    Actually in 6&7 ed. Parry granted an additional +1 armor save. Meaning dwarves and chaos warriors were pretty dang tough.

  • VC; court of the damned, lamia blood ties, non-mount cost went down to 75 pts. It is not listed in the summary, but is written in the book. It is still 90 in battlescribe update. Easy to miss it you aren't looking for it. (The summary also erroneously says that the wight king mount cost went from 10pts to 55pts, and i know for a fact no mount in the game costs 10 pts anymore)

  • With regular wraiths having 2 attacks, a character version should have 4. (Compare other rank and file vs thier hero version). And\or maybe increase his regular aegis to 4+, not exactly a mind blower with that res3.

    Question? What percent of people are hoping for an independent wholly contained army book vs an army book that has options for other race to take units as mercenaries. Because if it's the latter I don't ever see such a book getting even unofficial status.

  • Yea parry on minotaurs is pretty good. On a unit that puys out the pain anyway, reducing incoming damage will definitely win fights.

  • Its a toss up, spears are minisculely better vs non t5. Like 2.1 wounds vs 1.97 wounds, but vs t5 the difference is a little more meaty. Also halberds do better when hit on flanks (not ideal, but its large undead blocks, a flank isnt gonna make us flee). But really the skeleton output is kinda low regardless. If the court is destroyed, and\or i move to horde formation the damage output swings back in favor of the halberds. Generally though I'm not afraid of low toughness troops

  • Hitting on 2's makes up for alot of attacks. (7 attacks with champ btw) Forgot to mention that there is a cadaver wagon and black standard behind the Skeletons. With a static res of 7, most everything hitting on 2's or 3's. Being hit on 4's and saving on 5's, this unit has a fair chance of taking a charger and winning the combat, and if they don't win, whatever you have fighting will get ground down to the point that they will lose.   • So did you feel a barrow guard unit would hold up better vs those units? But any way, 60 Halbard skeletons, commandment lamia vamp with nights crown, king slayer halberd, and destiny's call. Court with upgrade. Barrow king w\ 2+\5++ and GW. And two legion banners, and i run them 7 wide typically

  • I don't use barrow guard as a death star. I use 60 skeletons with halberds. Much less susceptible to a lucky combat phase, and a couple 80 man zombie units (both start smaller, but 1 magic phase usually has them near max). Skeletons haven't been destroyed yet in a game. But if needed i have no problem with giving 80 zombies os and ds 6.
