  • Quote from infamousme: “Quote from Klexe: “Quote from echoCTRL: “Enemy models in base to base contact with the bearer or R&F models in the bearer’s unit do not count for the purpose of forming a Full Rank. ??? ” So - 1 rank most likely?I find it hard to find a rule which fits "let no one survive" ” unless you hit the flank of a unit with only 5 files, then you can negate up to 5 ranks if you're 3 wide. ” oh boy, didn't think that part through there did I. What if we achieved the mythical "ju…

  • Quote from Marcos24: “What?! It meant no quarter... it should cause fear or terror throughout the whole battle... because it means that in the end all captives are dead, and what does flaming attacks have to do with it? Only the lance has anything to do with that and we already have wyrmwood core. How do you get "one time use" from the banner and its history?? ” Because it meant no quarter for set amount of time, not the whole battle. I got flaming from the part about burning out the Saracens. I…

  • According to legend, Charlemagne carried it to the Holy Land in response to a prophecy regarding a knight possessing a golden lance, from which flames would burn and drive out the Saracens.[4] This suggests that the lance was originally the important object, with the banner simply a decoration, but this changed over time. When the Oriflamme was displayed on the battlefield it indicated that no quarter was to be given, its red colour being symbolic of cruelty and ferocity.[15] Although the azure …

  • Quote from Klexe: “Oh okay I didnt want to hurt you. ” I meant it jokingly. I am fine.

  • Quote from Ludaman: “I still hate it echo ;), but only because I wanted the butterfly crown ” Well, I didn't think that one up until later, and even then that probably won't make it into the next book given the other things we need to get out of our Magic Items, i.e. Damage Output, Character Defense, Unit Defense, Magic Defense, a Good Magic Phase, then Leadership. if that is the order of importance I think having good leadership out of the BSB is still more important than enabling a Damsel as t…

  • The phrase cut to the quick is one of those English idioms with a long history, derived from a word that is rarely used in present day. An idiom is a word, group of words or phrase that has a figurative meaning that is not easily deduced from its literal definition. Common idioms are words and phrases used in the English language in order to convey a concise idea, and are often spoken or are considered informal or conversational. An idiom can illustrate emotion more quickly than a phrase that ha…

  • Quote from Klexe: “Quote from echoCTRL: “Remember when you all hated the Crystal and cursed me for inventing it? ” Well... taken ONCE out of 185 lists = 0.33% pickrate That is quite impressive . Currently i am thinking about taking it, i used it 2 times. It would still be the first item to go away ” you have cut me to the quick good sir! To the quick, I say!

  • Remember when you all hated the Crystal and cursed me for inventing it?

  • Do you want another "Dominant. Models without Towering Presence only." Magic Item to complain about?

  • It would not have allowed ignoring enemy chaff, but would have allowed ignoring your own chaff and redirectors. It allowed you to use your peasants like a shield all game. The current design has its biggest play in deployment, it allows you to purposely play that unit any where you want and you can then March the unit away without worrying about terrain or your own units. It is also a combo Speed and Strider banner that is killed by the fact it is "one use only". That restriction was added due t…

  • Quote from Sir_Sully: “Quote from pedrobedo: “quick question so ican get this straight in my head. Ghost Step... the Green Knight can not move through friendly units but the Banner of the Green Knight allows the unit to treat friendly units as impassable terrain which means that the unit can move through friendly units as Ghost step treat all terrain as open terrain? Is this correct? ” Yes. I believe this was the intention of the banner Quote from pedrobedo: “EDIT: Can the unit using the banner …

The books to inside the spoiler are the outdated ones. Those are the 1.35 edition books from before the Beta.

  • Agreed, I don't see much use to it given the high cost of shooting, and that shooting attacks lose out on most of the buffs available to the army. Probably because of Cadaron.

  • Quote from Ludaman: “I've spent the last 3 weeks assembling lots of Dread Elf minis for a friends new army. I hope I've made the safest choices =). 1. Character on Dragon (not the safest choice, but it could be either an Oracle or Lord, and the model is soooo cool I had to) 2. 40 Spears 3. 20 Tower Guard 4. 1 Chariot Each type 5. 2 Bolt Throwers 6. 15 Cult Ladies 7. 10 Repeater dudes (are they auxiliaries or scouts? doesn't matter) 8. 5 Light Cavalry Riders 9. 10 Raptor Knights 10. A hydra anyon…

  • Quote from arwaker: “@echoCTRL What if Harpies had some kind of "scream"? Could work as close ranged shooting attack or provide some kind of debuff to opponents in 6" (maybe -1 aim and -1 OS?) Screaming is something iconic for harpies, why not implement this in their design. ” I like that as a shooting attack which causes a debuff
