  • The only reason Spears and Halberds are cheaper now is because people playing Peasants weren't taking those options but are playing Parry tar pits instead. After no change to your parry tar pit the unit should be just as viable as it was before. Have they become worthless because the other options are better balanced? I agree about bleeding CR, you still need to play them separately from the knights.

  • I had been trying to do that for a while, but I was WRONG. Such a unit would not be playable. Not even other peasant units would be able to fight in the same combat as a unit like that unless they have a lot of special rules and synergies. Should we have a Men-at-Arms unit? Sure. we talked about that in the general discussion thread and decided that the means to have Knights and Peasants work together was to have a better version of Peasants that can stick it out in a fight with Knights in addit…

  • Quote from Knugen: “Hello! So I need to ask. Whos LD will peasents use, If they are close to a unit with Oath of Fealty but outside generals comanding precence. But the unit with Oath of Fealty is within the generals comanding precence? My guess is general If that LD is the highest. Mvh David ” Great Question! Quote from Marcos24: “Correct, general’s ” He is correct. Think of a spell stack in MTG. Instants happen before each other. So, a unit with Oath of Fealty under the general Discipline pass…

Imagine if you were a local Lord. Having Brigands would mean having to spend your own money to guard merchant caravans coming on to your lands, otherwise the caravan would just skip you. The Merry Men are a famous and unique example to the contrary. But, they would be the exception to the rule.

Yep, from BRB pg 90 section 20.B.c GuerillaWarfare Units consisting entirely of Infantry models with Light Troops are Stubborn if more thanhalf of their models are inside a Forest with the centre of their bases, unless any model inthe unit has Towering Presence and/or Fly. Peasant Bowmen get Distracting from their Bowmen's Stakes too. p.s. Remind your SE friends!

Quote from Marcos24: “@Grouchy Badger With serf and skirmishing and hard target, they're pretty good at avoiding combat though so i'm not seeing the need for defensive options. Right now they're very effective at what they do for that cost, i think that's golden. I think tinkering with them would cause us to lose that bang for buck value ” Don't forget they are Stubborn in Forest Terrain, so I make a b-line to any nearby Forests every time.

Quote from Marcos24: “@echoCTRL Thanks for the explanation. One thing i fully disagree with is that the only way to fix rubber lance is more knights. I believe thats just your personal desire regardless of rubber lance, based on your past posts. As long as we hit on 4s, even if we can add up to 5 knights in a unit, it won't change the frequency of rubber lance. If EoS can give hatred to their knights then we should surely get some sort of hit bonus when charging Ultimately it comes down to the e…

Quote from Marcos24: “Want to know the greatest advantage brigands have over your 36" longbow unit? A MASSIVE difference in how the two play compared to core peasant longbows. Having two units that are very different and from each other, yet both effective, is more fun than having two options that are very similar and don't offer different gameplay. ” Yeah, that is so very true. What I am suggesting would just be like having a unit that is nothing more than an upgrade version of Peasant Bowmen. …

I don't think it makes sense for Robin Hood's band of Merry Men to be a fun thing unit available to the Equitaine army. There are however different classes of peasantry a d Villains were often required to practice using and maintaining their own little my how for service as a militia. I think the pre-LAB rules guidelines RT gave was clear about limiting mobile shooting and limiting special deployment, so that means stick to one unit for those things. I think this unit should be changed when it c…

  • Cows aren't in the fluff! Not in any book does it actually mention Cows! Pasture land must be for milk giving cats, and a trained milking cat is too prescious to turn into a biological weapon. Can you imagine how hard it is to raise a cat that will let you milk it? This tradition is what prevented the vermin swarm from taking over ancient Equitaine. As a big cat is still very scary to the Vermin Swarm.

  • Quote from Marcos24: “I wonder the likelihood of our bowmen having increased range. Has that been brought before? ” Nope, it hasn't, it was originated in these threads well after the 2.0 redesign.
