@Rothulf As the guy who ran them at ETC (and who "got terrible results") what I would say about WOs is they are very match up specific, perhaps more so than a lot of other units. The gamble with that list was geared towards matches with suitable targets which didn't manifest in the final lists as hoped. Given they had to contend with 2 KoE Might Duke builds and 1 WDG Portent list the list did well and was unlucky to lose a few VPs where they did. They did absolutely blend a heavy Mino list which…

I've been running an Irredeemable heavy list for the last 10-12 months. Wretched Ones are solid. Sure, dealing with heavily armoured units is a problem but Magic can help and they provide an answer to things that WDG may otherwise struggle against but if someone wants to give them a pts reduction I won't say no....

@Persedious I agree, it is frustrating and I have also 100% complained about that fact in the past. The WDG AB has thankfully removed a lot of the infuriating restrictions it originally had but that one does still irk me from time to time. Would love a 4++ Fortitude or AP3 but alas I think those ships have sailed.... @Happy Aspid Evocation and Irredeemables is legit. Getting re-roll to wound and -1Res off in the same combat is AMAZING.

I've ran 2 of these guys in most of my games for the last 6 months, and can confirm they are great pieces. It's true they are easy to hit but they are still Res 6 with 6 HP so providing they are not thrown into the wrong combat they are a pain to shift. Even 2 rounds of combat and they can do a fair bit of damage and definitely get their pts back, 400 pts is a fair cost imo.
