    Crossbow orcs, beside crossbows, bring heavy armor to out core. As Arwaker says. A unit of xbow orcs supporting a shaman could work. They shoot str 4 shots and can hold their own in combat with 4+ parry. Might still be to expensive, but atleast its cheaper now Also Wrecking Ball Giant was indeed reduced in price in 2.1 (now a free "upgrade") and Wrecking Team went down 5 points in 2.1 aswell.     I like trolls as well. They are really strong and, at this point, might be worth the chance of them going stupid. Even though stupid atm can still lose you the game sometimes. Overall, I believe the OnG book almost as perfect as can be without LAB. Due to this I don't think we will be LAB soon

    Ye, it only gives you their saves, not their item. So Armor, Aegis, Fortitude and MR.

  • Mmm, makes me think. Maybe something like the Terracota and Barrow Legion, but then with Orcs and Goblin only. More elegant solution might be included in a Goblin King. A rule like: If general: Goblin Raiders may lose Feigned Flight, Vanguard, Light Troops and scout and gain scoring. I am not a goblin player, maybe losing all of these is to much and some should be kept. But with this you can do some nice things with the raiders.

  • Problem with wanting more scoring for Goblins, I think, is that the design team and rules team look at the O&G book overal. The O&G book does not have an Orc only or Goblin only army. It is one whole book with plenty of scoring. I'm afraid asking for more scoring units just because you don't want to play a certain type of unit won't bare fruits. I don't say this to discredit or discourage goblin armies, but when designing the book you look at the entire picture I am afraid.

  • Hi guys, So I played 2 games lately with two fairly similar lists. I wanted to try the goblin King cowboy and I love the Cave Gnashers 1 str 6 impact hit + 6 str 6 ws 4 attacks is quite nice for their points. My magic was meh, specially the pyromancy did little for me. The Feral Orcs and Iron Orcs were worth their weight, but the Xbow orcs were a waste of points.   • I don't think goblins should have str2. In my mind goblins are not necessary weaker compared to a human. Str 3 seems fine to me. In comparison to Orcs, it is the Orc that, imo, should have str 4 by default. Goblins, however, should have a rule to show off their trickiness more. Idea for Common Goblins: Caltrops: Units that were engaged in combat with common goblins this turn reduce their flee, overrun and persuit distance by 1".

  • Problem might be though that goblins are often taken in big units. A unit of 30+ goblins are not flanking often.

  • I know this threat is more for goblins rnf units, but what do you guys think of Cave Goblin Witchdoctor being allowed to ride a cave Gnashers? All other races gain their respective mounts. Would this make the cave doctor more viable?
