  • Quote from SirVelinn: “Also would go around the idea of making the lance 4wide. Removing Lance formation from Aspirants and Questing seens reasonable ” you can already do that with the current rule. Current rule works 3, 4 or 5 wide

  • Prayer could offer two choices. +2" Mar. Up from 8" and 14" And Aegis 5+ up from Aegis 6+. But then you have to always prayer. Praying during the game seems interesting but haven't figured out how to make the work. Already figure to increase min unit sizes and remove the Dev Charge (FiER).

  • Quote from Phosphorus: “Quote from LastKnight: “Why not take 3 peasant crusaders units together with a humility paladin and aim to score the objectives? To me taht is one of the most valuable combos currently. Maybe the book is good but the choice people make are not matching theit playstyile/skill level. ” Mayhaps because not everyone wants to build and paint up (and thus own) 100+ peasant crusaders ? Or wants to play with knights (on horses) (cause that is, what an Equitanian army is for many,…

  • Well, I am not arguing that the spell I offered is better as a solution. I stated my goal, it isn't certain that it would have bee achieved. An example would be increasing the minimum unit size of KotR from 6 to 9 models. They wouldn't be ideal for use as scoring darts, and presumably be less expensive as the unit is discounted. On getting to Aegis 5++. Yes, more damage absorption so that the army can grind better, something more on par with armour 1+. But, also so that the rule feels meaningful…

  • Quote from Phosphorus: “Quote from Casp: “I think blessing actually is quite good, simple but efficient. Maybe it is what happend when you do not pray wich is the issue ? We shoudl brainstorming on this concept, how make not pray more appealing ? ” mayhaps something like "tokens" (of faith): you start with x tokens , get + x tokens for praying...and aditional tokens if you do some knightly deeds...and lose some for unchivalrious things ? ” People have suggested that, but it is just a less expens…

  • It's not like I love it.

  • Quote from Marcos24: “I'm taking a list to a tournament tomorrow with no wizards, so it seems like if that were the "blessing" now then nothing in my army would have the blessing ” That is why the Prayer can turn a Character into a Wizard which gets this spell.

  • And a better version of spell. the-ninth-age.com/community/in…d283b2046501af2dd0e6d3888 Though this has problems too, and needs addressing. For one, it can be dispelled and you are putting all your eggs in one basket for the turn. I preferred the spell to be Permanent.

  • The following things I have worked on for the blessing: 1. Characteristic providing a Special Save not effected by Divine Attacks or Aegis Modifiers 2. Characteristic defining the minimum Armour Save a model could be reduced to 3. Characteristic representing a normal Aegis Save. 4. Characteristic providing a Special Save used before rolling Armour Saves. 5. Changed to 5++ in Melee, no prayer mechanics. Effected all Knights equally. 6. Specific Unit benefits tied to Praying, such as 5++, or Forlo…

  • Quote from mrmossevig: “Quote from Minidudul: “Why stick to raptor ? Let them be some kind of beastmaster with a generic name for the mount to be able to ride any exotic standard mount. That for the fluff/name part. And for the rule, something that can represent they ride powerfull predators (scent of blood is already one step). No need to be super though or super strong, but rather super immersive with a good fonction in the army. ” I like the fact that they are from Silexia and is the same Rap…

  • Hello background team. I am hoping for feedback relating to Silexia and those living West of the Rathean River upon the great inner plains. Where the real world Bison Belt once existed. I call this army First Nations. They are heavily inspired by Lakota and Cheyenne people. They call themselves Chaske meaning First Sons. Here is beginning to my background attempts quoted from the Homebrew section. Quote from echoCTRL: “Attempting Background. I hope everyone will respond with advice for editing a…

  • Quote from Sir_Sully: “Not a fan of that @echoCTRL for the following reasons. - Rules as written, you can put this spell on a castellan and cast the spell on peasants but not on Grails. Both feel wrong, although the casting on peasants may well have been intended. If it was intended, I'd prefer +1 Aegis (max 4+) as then it can affect Grails & peasants benefit but not as much. You'd probably need no stacking the spell up as well - It marginalises the Lady as a Goddess - she's less powerful than a…

  • Attempting Background. I hope everyone will respond with advice for editing and collaboration. The "Noble Savage" Mythos An Account by (EoS Historian/Adventurer) I tell you that our Empire is a great one, having seen first hand the brutish life of those living outside it. Our Emperor and famed Military is a shield which allows true civilization to flourish. Without these graces we would live in the same destitution our more "Noble" and long lived neighbors wish for us. The elven and dwarven king…

  • Made a large update to the army. I don't anticipate other large changes after this until I receive Playtesting feedback from others. Here are the changes. Army Specific and Model Rules 1. Over hauled the Counting Coup rules. Now this rule provides a Characteristic which can improve depending on equipment. Models and Units with this rule gain temporary bonuses depending on what they do in a battle. Fighting a Duel or Choosing not to flee/stand and shoot as your Charge Reaction improve the Charact…

  • @WhammeWhamme Could I get your opinion?

  • So it is standard practice to give things from beyond the veil the Following: Fear, Fearless, Supernal, and an Aegis Save. I would like to avoid this as I think it makes the spirit section of this army too elite. I am considering Natural Spirit The model gains Supernal. A model with this rule treats all models without Supernal as Insignificant. This means I do not have to assign the model Fear, Fearless, or an Aegis Save. I can use the Counting Coup mechanic for a fortitude Save instead. Thought…

  • Quote from Bretboy84: “this army list was interesting. This army list gave me new ideas for People of Ameria . Good job anyway! ” So happy you liked it. I had to think about including Bisontaurs after looking at your book. The Canoes are big draw too. At the end I wonder if I should include them, because this army is meant to be located on the great plains and Canoes are more coastal historically, but then the army includes warriors displaced from the east coast by dark elves and they could have…

  • Question. Should Counting Coup become a Stat of its own?

  • I am not in the ACS side of things to answer your question Marcos. During the work for 2.0 attempts to remove first turn penalty were made and a compromise is present in the current rules. Going second via praying is rather iconic and would be nice if it continues to exist albeit in a totally other form that you don't feel required to take and is not tied into the strength of the blessing.
