Quote from Caraxes: “Quote from Gas_monkey82: “Quote from Caraxes: “Quote from Krokz: “Quote from IoRi78: “But the game is enjoyable, or we will not play it, and they still can be fixed with points and fabs. ” It is. But it also became stale. Our country has the biggest number of mercenaries (and afaik other countries have the biggest number of mercs in their history too) and for us it is because this staleness of the meta detracts players from playing T9A. As someone noted, some armies have com…

Quote from Druzi Darkfist: “Quote from An Empire Fallen Studio: “However, caliber is a huge part to play, and this is the “world stage” so to speak. We only have a small community in NZ of players, growing but small, and selected the right players to be able to match the caliber across the table. But alongside that is a part you are lol neglecting to recognise, something that as an employer is almost more important that skill set: an overall ability for the team to gel. It isn’t just the respons…

In my opinion, as another member of the NZ scene, and a formerly selected member for NZ’s ETC team, I can understand where @Caraxes and @Druzi Darkfist are coming from. However, caliber is a huge part to play, and this is the “world stage” so to speak. We only have a small community in NZ of players, growing but small, and selected the right players to be able to match the caliber across the table. But alongside that is a part you are lol neglecting to recognise, something that as an employer is…

  • Ethan at An Empire Fallen Studio here, all the way down in New Zealand! After collecting my Empire collection since before the end of WHFB 8th Ed, I decided it was time to knock the dust off them and get painting! Will be putting the BH on the shelf for a while once my EoS are done, and going to wreck up a storm down here with them! Either that, or we will just run away....haven't decided yet!

  • Quote from Grey Seer Kwokka: “You’re not being objective, though. You’re just afraid that being critical will nullify the value of your contribution. I mean, it’s a bit rich for you to consistently state that you don’t necessarily agree or disagree with him and proclaim the objective nature of your content; if you’re being truly objective then you wouldn’t care how to personally interpret any part of it, much less communicate that you don’t care. ” Disagree very much mate. I am not afraid of bei…

  • @Nemeroth slightly disagree with the statement about constructive criticism. At the end of the day we are all humans and no one likes criticism by nature, even if it is designed to be constructive. And while we keep accusing him of being a troll or cherry picking his quotes (which I am not saying he has or has not done), it becomes so easy to label someone who speaks out as "a bad guy" or "a problem". The fact is, most of his points are what a lot of players in the global community feel, but he …

  • So, we have without a doubt had this posts before, but I am curious as to people's current thoughts on this. With the ruleset being currently liquid (BETA), as experienced players it is hard enough to keep up with the changes while living busy lives. This has effected my local community, and my national community quite a lot (and is reflected in our current tournament and club scenes). With that in mind, what strategies do you have to bring in new players to the game, not only experience table t…

  • I am gonna jump in here, and probably regret it. I read the article three times. Firstly, to see what it was about, but the second two times for an objective outlook on it. I am not going to say I fully agree with him, but many points and conclusions he has made, I agree with. But based on the comments multiple people here are making, that would then make me a Troll. Now, I am not dismissing the fact that obviously there is some history here where the player has potentially caused some issues. B…
