  • Just like @Auto2 pointed out so well a while ago in the Thread: Making Ninth Age Scale down to 1000 points - warband. - Quicker to play - Much easier to field a fully painted army - Much easier to field multiple armies - Easier to transport - Great for introducing new players to the game - It could help smaller companies that cannot provide complete collections We are in the middle of test-playing and ill update it as we get along. But this is the idea so far. I'm Eager to hear peoples thoughts.

  • Any Thoughts on Wavering Convidence rule? Other requirment than 350+? Is it to much? The motivation for this rule is discourage fielding power-blocks and elite-only warbands. You can if your confidant in winning. But when you start loosing a fight......

  • true, its a problem, To counter this we would need to re writhe al the base point cost. I need something in-between the former rule: halve the minimum unit size rounding up. And this one. Ideas? OR!! I do believe with the new rules that don't limit the army specifics to 350 points and some unit moving to Character. We might not need to halve units at all. Let me check that..   • For now I'm good with the Entry Limit, And i like what it does for all three goals. Ill take a look at the 350 limit. I'm now looking at the -10% for Army specific. this should be less global for all Army specifics. 15% - 10%... 5% doesn't work But 40% to 30% does. ill look at this tonight.   • @Idum thnx for the link to saar tournement rules. Id gave me some inside in what units you really dont want with lower points. And to be warry off Flyers. @piteglio higher points says a lot, but it really depends on if your talking about characters, monsters or R&F units. As it is now, only a few armys have monsters and it mostly comes down to giants. SA gets a choice in a Dino, thats about i think. WotDG get most Large infantry but smaller units. I do have a problem with HbE and DE not gett…

  • And characters are unafected by the 350 entry rule. Though they only have 35%. These rules keep most of the OP stuff out but also some good units so i need t ponder on that.

  • true, but when was whriting this i was thinking 1800 point max and indeed .. no starting points over 350.. does keep a lot over the single model monsters out. And and forces to take only halve of the elite units.

  • Im sure ill need some help with wording any ways. Did you notice the 350 p. Cap is for n entire entry type not per unit. For example you could take 3x 5 core WotDG warriors as long as the combination doesnt go over 350. Or just 1 bigger block of the same warriors not passing 350. Or 2 units of 175 points each. Im not sure thats clear in my wording?

  • Multiple lists per Faction was what I meant. This is my First step in Optimisation.

  • Oh and now I'm thinking about Advanced QS again. May I suggest giving some army's that clearly have multiple styles multiple Lists. DE: Nabh, Yema, Cadaron and Olaron lists. VC: Blood lines.. HbE: Honours.. Etc.

I can only speak for me and some of my friends when I say, after 25 years of miniature wargaming we are not going to play a simplefied version of a game we already know if we are in the mood for a small quick game.   • He people, This is the first set up for warband rules I want to start testing and pondering on with my group. Please let me know what you think and send me OverPowerd lists so i can ponder some more. for now its for 600 to 1800 points. Tho 1000+ is more realistic.
