  • Maybe if he agrees also the rule videos of Dark Wizard Gaming?

  • Amazing! He really explains it well and the focus on both games and their relation to each other is captured as well. I like it and it is definitely good publicity.

  • I just saw that Veil of Ages products are in the list of the digital games fair (one of the largest boardgame fairs in the world). That's amazing. The system there works like this: The more "Likes" you get the more will your product be highlighted for other viewers. Hence, if we want to create awareness for T9A it might be a very good opportunity, if anyone registers and likes the T9A rulebook. Maybe the T9A team could announce it on the website that people can help the project like this? This i…

My favorite is also the Shamanism Master on Chariot with Ancestral Carvings and Trickster's Cunning. He is so much fun and I prefer very much to play flexible with shamanism than with strong, but predictable druidism. Centaurs and Centaur Chieftains are also something I enjoy as well as Gargoyles. And Totems are just amazing.

  • I used to play two Gortachs with Shamanism. Druidism binds your army in the middle and I want them to be mobile. Divination can be countered with a binding scroll, I think. Mass shooting is a real problem, but with cover and so on, I think it is not a horrible uphill battle (withbthe exception of VS with Demon and shooting and Dreadmills..but even then, sometimes I managed to get ery good results by outplaying my opponent).

But to be fair, the Minos without command which makes them a lot worse, especially the missing musician. But sure, Gortachs are a bit expensive. It is just that in this forum there is always only black and white. But Gortachs were played when they were slightly cheaper, so they can't be a disaster now. For me, they still work and they fulfill a different role than Minos, although I agree that they are better at the moment.

  • In my opinion, Gortachs still work and are not a lot too expensive. When they were just a little bit cheaper they were played all the time. For me it has always worked well to play two Gortachs and a lot of other threats that I usually hesitate to field because of the ranged threats of my enemies. If you have e.g. two Gortachs and a Beastlord and Shaman on Chariot as well as Minotaurs with a Cheiftain BSB, your opponent will struggle to deal with all of them. Most of the time, my Gortachs were c…

  • Amazing. Thanks for your commitment!

  • Because it caused some anger that not many BH players have participated here so far, I just say that I have not played against the new ID and I guess I am not the only one. There are not many gaming possibilities right now and ID are very rare in my region. So, I don't think you can expect a reaction by a lot of players. But I hope you get some.

Ah okay. I would think that the Centaur is still rather good as chaff and warmachine hunter. Would you say it is expensive because the Briar Beasts are not worth the points if the Seed?

I like the idea of a Centaur Chief with the Seed of the Dark Forest who vanguards and drops the forest right where you want it, so that the Briar Beasts have a good spot in turn 1.

In my opinion, this is too much negativity. I am a rather mediocre player and I do just fine with the BHs. They have weaknesses, but it is totally possible not only for top-tier players to get good results with them. So, a total bashing as if the BH are catastrophical is just as useless as saying that they are a top-tier right now.

Quote from maxgorthor: “Quote from DanT: “Quote from maxgorthor: “BH is one of the most sentivive army of match up and are not adapted to the current meta. ” If this is true, and the meta you describe is dominant in tournaments, then BH will be lower tier in the annual points update, and thus get more/greater reductions ” They dont need i think reduction points (except gortach, 500 pts for a naked 6 hp and playing druidism around them are hard) maybe they just need to acess dommage spell and may…

I honestly don't get what you are fighting about. Could you explain it, @Mirdhynn ? The French tournament that had a qualification was posted by you. So, the balancing with regard to top players somehow was what you did also, as far as I can tell. But I really don't understand what it is that you are tired of saying here. It is hard to discuss like this and it seems to me that you two are just talking about different things right now.

And all that for my centaurs?! 1. You are amazing. 2. Your hobby skills are amazing! 3. I feel guilty that my centaurs make such a great deal of work, but this tutorial is awesome.

  • In another discussion there was lot of criticism to the role that rank and file units play in the current game/meta. The discussion has shifted to rather detailed balancing arguments that do not fit one of my biggest concerns. This concern was somehow ignored by those arguing in favor of the game as it is. I guess that's partly because many of them do not care for arguments that are irrelevant for tournaments. I don't think that this point will be picked up in the other thread and I don't want t…

Quote from panterq: “How many people in this thread do not have a problem with single models, but rather went on a crusade versus WDG? Gimme a break, people are complaining about single models, then it turns out it's mostly Monsters, then it turns out it's mostly Feldrak Elders, now it turns out it's mostly WDG in the first place. ” That is a crude misinterpretation of your opponent's arguments. There are many general arguments here and e.g. a lot of criticism against OK hunter spam. It is not j…

What should also be considered in this discussion, is which armies should be more R&F and which not. For example, HBE, BH, O&G, DH, VS or EOS I would consider armies that should be mainly blocks. WDG on the other side (besides barbarians) are fluffwise an army of individuals pursuing the ultimate individual power. So, I can much better understand a WDG army with heavy characters and small units of warriors and chosen who want to become such heroes, ideally supported by one block of barba…
