Grouchy Badger - - Vampire Covenant (VC)

    Post

When I was ACS I was quite literally told "We dont care, shut up." when I brought up a lot of issues with the team that I was providing information to. Hell, even when not an ACS I helped the other ACS team members compile tournament info. None of it was heeded as far as I can tell.

If Old World will be any good I think to many players will switch which will be the deathblow. I for once am jealous how popular AoS has become arround here and am most likely leaving or playing both if OW is any good. ” Quote from Vesemirus: “Quote from Traumdieb: “Game is dying because…

If the project would spread the workload to volunteers, things would be done faster. They of course never will.

  • Quote from Marcos24: “ @Grouchy Badger well well well, it’s good to see you here again and welcome you back, but only to say “I thought you said you’d never be back” ” Ive been playing legion for the past months. I decided to poke my head in after playing a game last week. I am not surprised at what I see.

  • Its almost November, and in my opinion barely anything has been worth the wait. Pessimism is the only flavor I reserve for the project, and I don't bother much with holding my breath after the non-tournament giant book and the hamstringed ID book. At this point I'd reckon nothing substantial will be about until next spring since there's a workload draw down during the holidays.

Quote from VampsinMD: “hey, its been a minute. welcome back! ” Hmm, that remains to be seen. Ive been away writing two books, an rpg system, and managing merch sales. Doesnt look like much movement is going on around here.

Ive risen from my slumber to point out an old truth: Army Bias. Folks still in the throes of Warhammer PTSD and have been putting VC under the heel since this game began.

Quote from piteglio: “geez, GB! you raised a relevant point, we came to support it, we made sure that Caledor had a chat with the people who know how a new book can fit into the existing stuff, we learnt about the reasons for being careful with the two book slots remaining available, we brainstormed about who wants which type of book next, i mean, ain't that enough? that's how collaborative projects work. it's a good outcome already. where does all this need for tension come from. as if there wa…

All im reading here is that creators are better off not even trying. The dude spent years of his time trying to make something just for the team to stink wave at it. Im already done advocating for this game. Next live stream to my 20k subs im just going to tell them not to bother looking at the website.

And by this, I mean, with as much difference than there is between Sonnstahl and WotDG or between Sonnstahl and Beast Herds. We can safely assume that whatever is going to happen, Sonnstahl is going to be a faction of…

Quote from Marcos24: “@Grouchy Badger there's been a lot of work put into other books as well ” This is not about rule of cool, but about the core of this game we play. Its a game made by the community, and there is more to it than a group of people that revel in calling the shots. The community has made a great thing, this Nippon book, and they are even balancing it themselves and tweaking it. Yet it remains shadow cast in the homebrew section despite the work thats gone into it. Whats the poin…

The Nippon book deserves to be put at least into Beta as a rule set. Drop it into EoS or KoE, matters to me not, but the work should be rewarded.

  • Quote from Kratos: “Longbows are not in a good spot right now sadly, but try them and come and tell us your experience. I just cant imagine a list where they fit. Theres always a better option than them. ” Ive played longbows twice to three times a weekend for several months and several tournaments. They suck. Horridly. Str 3 ap0 is just horrible without anything to help with damage output. I offered up the idea of poison or pox arrows but was shot down because only elves know how to slap poo on…
