The reason for the choise of colors dates til last year when I started to paint wdg into a new color scheme. After that decision pretty much all had followed the same relatively strickt guide line for colors. I am also quite big fan of limited palette (I have said this too many times ) and try hard of bringing the minis alive with the minimum amount of colors (and I dont mean amount of paint pots, I still used something between 20-30 different paints, shades or washes).
And yet there is another reason. These same HATE models will also be part of my ogre force, so I need to keep that in mind as well. Colors are pretty much the same than in wdg but I need to use earthy tones and more rustic finish to emphasise the OK army "spirit"
Assembled 5 more thickets to get me closer to completing my all trees list. Hope I get them ready for priming tonite. Mostly because filler in the bases need over nite to dry. Thinks I also need to do 50x50 fillers for my dryads (just make trees with iron wire and stuff) to push the over all core tree force closer to 60 models.
Still continuing with wdg but working with these simultaneously.
Got thickets prepped so they should be done by the end of next week. Did basing for 2 fillers but dont know what to put on top. Would have been like to use single GW dryad on each but I don't have any spares. Iron wire tree would look nice but requires some work. Also dig out the Treemama and will start putting it together for priming. Will be completely different story painting it.
