Hey guys I'm just starting a KoE army and I don't want to buy too many models which in the long run I won't be using. Any suggestions what I should put my time into??? Obviesouly Knights, but I'd like to know which ones and how many I should paint and so on... thx and btw I'm a Dwarf player so my infantry choices Id ike to keep to a minimum
The latest issue of the 9th Scroll is here! You can read all about it in the news.
Our beta phase is finally over. Download The Ninth Age: Fantasy Battles, 2nd Edition now!
If you want a powerful but quickly assembled army I would suggest you get your knightly core choices, some pegasi, the green knight, a unit of grail knights and a lord, bsb and damsel on mounts. You cannot go wrong with full tilt knights, sure you will lose some games from bad matchups and against skilled opponents. But it works pretty well once you learn it. Can always add footknights and peasant units later.
I am really not the knowledge to seek about where to get your models since I buy alot of secondhand stuff cheap off ebay and equivalents."In the end rules are just the groundwork for 2 players to have an agreement on how the game is played. If you friends/gaming group is fine with it you can do what ever you want with the game." - Smart Guy on the T9A forum
"By the Lady, is that Elderberries I smell?" - Duke Niemar of Snowfall's Eves
Thx guys ☺
12 knights. You take these as elite knights and characters bsb = 27 €
also 12 for Realms aspirants = you need 2 boxes = 27x2 = 54€
4 guys one can be a character = 30€
Damsel is hard to find (you can take any knight model i guess too at start)
Reaper for 15dollar
If you also want archer and infantry?
here a good deal:
Thanks I will be ok now!
It depends how much you want to drop.
Norba gw TMS are more expensive and TMS and gw have better models and they are more fantasy.
Fireforge and Perry are cheap but also great models but smaller.
If you wait you could also buy fireforge fantasy models which will come soon they are also bigger
Both work well. Even mixing is okay as long as you don't mix in the same unit.
TMS is bigger then gw. You can see my pictures as I have TMS and gw figures.
Fireforge and Perry have perfect details imo.
Fireforge is a little more bland though
