About Me
About Me
Name: Veronika Pilátová

How old are you? 25

Where are you from and where do you live right now? Prague, the Czech Republic

What do you do for living?
Student of English and Irish literature and teacher of English

Since when are you in the Hobby?
Painting since 2011, since late 2012 working on a heavily converted army together with Marchosias

How did you get into the Hobby and what have you done since then?
As I describe on my painting blog, I was on a Summer school in Scotland when I stopped to admire some tiny models in a shop window and was persuaded to try and paint one. And found it relaxing and fun. I never intended to play the game until my boyfriend offered to play for me. (He had been interested in Warhammer before, but didn't like the painting and modeling aspect of the hobby.) Since then we are a team.
We haven't done anything special, me maintaining a plog and Marchosias a battle report thread on, but the current situation makes us want to do what we can to help Warhammer in some form survive, especially as most of the Czech community seems to just write it off without doing much.

Which armies do you play?
Not-really-dark elves with our own special fluff, if you count having someone else to play for me. :)

Why do you support the 9th Age project?
I would support any effort to keep Warhammer, any Warhammer, alive, that's why I made the Unsupported Armies blog. But the 9th Age seems to me to have the greatest chance of long term success and I really admire the people behind it. The project's ambition, together with the sensible and systematic approach makes me feel that if anything can succeed and keep the game running for years to come, this is it. I am also very happy to see the community taking the game into their own hands and showing everyone who it belongs to.

What is your personal role in the 9th Age project team?
Self-appointed model finder, or so it seems to me. :) I want to help counter all arguments that an independent project can't survive without GW (or another company) producing models and I'm honoured to be part of the team.
