    Many of these army lists are mindboggling to me. I totally fail to understand this infatuation with incarnates. Not that they are bad, but they are super dependent on your rolls, because they have no SCR. They also dont do well against cowboys for the same reason. I have more reliable results from 15 Tauruks, which are more all around, cost less and not block bounds and binders. And why not more flame throwers? And Scrapnel Engines? Am I the only person who realises exactly how devastating these…

  • 1- What do you think about the army organisation? Is it too restrictive? Not fun to try and come up with new builds? The army organization is super strange. "Hail of Gods" is virtually irrellevant, since noone would take that much overcosted, short range shooting anyway.   • I am playing mercenaries with plate armour and pistols alot - I like how they play. But right now I am proxying. Getting models for these is just a pain. I want models with pistols in each hand and reasonably heavily armoured, and their general look should match the normal GW ogre models, so they dont stand out from the rest of the army in a bad way.     In my mind its a part of Infernal Dwarf identity to have mounted characters (especially mages), which also destinguishes them from normal dwarves. So how do we make mounted mage attractive enough for it to be 'a normal ID army build' ? The issues we are fighting are: 1) RISK! Your mage is normally also your general.   • Sometimes point costs, stats and special rules can decieve you, when you look at them on paper. A unit that looks like a world beater turns out to be hard to use.     I think the current army setup - apart from obvious flaws in pricing and a few dubious designs - matches the general feel I expect from Infernal Dwarves reasonably well; A more versatile, manouvreble, aggressive army, which marches forwards supported by magic and a few war machines while weathering long range enemy fire extremely well, for then to unleash hell on them at close range, before engaging them supported by demons. I envision mages harnessing the energies to heal demons and improve war…

    I think that when it comes to mercs, the general rule is that if they charge in and swing first at full strength, the enemy is pretty screwed. No matter which equipment or special rules they have. So I would be in favour of running them with poison+plate armour+pistols, for the flexibelity of having shooting. But if I was to run pure CC, I would go for 7 strong with Ironfists and plate armour plus something else. That 3+as really helps against shooting, and in the cases where you dont strike fir…
