I hate my brain sometimes: I decided to touch up the painting on some of my Vermin guard, it turned out to be a total makeover and then I thought "while I'm at it I might just do 40". So now I know what I'm doing the next week or two.

  • So I don't have a lot of terrain or a good place to do photos but here goes: BJrMj0W.jpg Army qa5wvIX.jpg Footpads cDkyoKF.jpg nvGcaZg.jpg Rats at arms wBcObC5.jpg Vermin guard 8nEyzjK.jpg Magister Gjt4ohz.jpg 2Mr4FCX.jpg Tyrant Apologies for the deep shadows and such, photography is not really my forte.

Quote from Karak Norn Clansman: “Farting goblin? ” You think so little of my inappropriate sculpting? Farting is not near offensive enough! Think "kaskadspya".

If you got a bit box the size of a small apartment you might just start to use some of those bits: jAjAE4L.jpg Spell markers for Occultism and Thaumaturgy, missing some but those are in the making.

  • Just play non-standard characters with nice models and add trophies and up their paint job once in a while when they do awesome stuff. Pang-Long the Überkaiser and his sidekick Mas-Ster Ogrechaser is getting quite nice

  • Doomrant is fine just expensive and either dies by himself or just fights chaff, but he scares people from charging and that's his main purpose. Assassins are great but expensive, I prefer him with Ranger's boots to charge solo into bunkers and be a general nuisance. Magic weapon feels like a waste of potential since you lose D3 wounds.

Quote from Karak Norn Clansman: “A chore! But not as much of a chore as a certain other batch of Goblins you toiled over. ” Haha no! Never pinning spears and changing shields on BFSP-gobbos ever again!

Halfway there! Greenstuffed over all tails and added left hand weapons to all that I have the endurance to (it's really more trouble than it's worth) and enough to get WYSIWYG approved. Heads and a banner left to do. pld99NB.jpg

Learning from the best I'll go mad with some green-stuff when time to use them, gore and intestines all over the place They'll probably be trophies eventually but we shall see.

  • Pubstompers with skill is quite nice to play against because you learn from them. Pubstompers without skill is quite horrible to play against because they often get frustrated when they can't utilize their army properly.

Thanks guys! If you find yourself making Hobgoblin backstabbers out of Skaven clanrats you might find some constructive way of using the clip offs: 9EBgNtM.jpg Don't know to what I'll use those but I'm sure they'll come in handy at one point or another

If he is to be the general I'd go for the top build, if you want to challenge people off and/or go for support charges in flanks I'd go for the second. My favourite Tyrant non Monstrous rat build is: Tyrant on Vermin Guard Litter, Shield with Dusk Forged, Light armour with Putrid protection, King slayer, Dragonfire gem @430 But he is more fun than anything else and supposed to run along on his own.

The Kadim Titan from Wood Axe is done (for the foreseeable future at least): ycK2qle.jpg He's kind of huge, almost didn't fit into the lightbox. mZATr6N.jpg tP1sajx.jpg gtC12uV.jpg Shw29iN.jpg XeoDJek.jpg MpmdxvY.jpg Xj0zQFX.jpg Cxd9dRZ.jpg JLaDbJt.jpg It's freaking huge this model!

Quote from Karak Norn Clansman: “That Kadim is burning with the flames of its owner's hatred, obviously. Also: Nefarious lies! Dwarven fat may burn well, but Dwarven steel doesn't rust! Top notch work all around! Great oxidation effect and inspiring detail level overall. ” Only the steel of the Infernal is free from the plague of rust! Our simpleton cousins with no regards of the proper gods Lugar and Shamut would utter such falsehoods just to up their sales even though the evidence of their lie…

Thanks! I mix them with water and matt varnish basically, then just paint it on. Depending on the coverage wanted I increase/decrease the amount of water added.

The base of my (third) Kadim Titan taking form, some more pigments to go. 44OCueE.jpg JXLR9Ts.jpg Both my rats and my true and proper dorfs will be based around the ruins of a dwarven hold/civilisation that has been righteously and thoroughly smashed into oblivion (I hate elves more than dwarfs but I can't bear to have that kind of flimsy knife-ear infestation on my bases, dwarfs at least look good as a remnant - Elves only look good impaled and/or worse). Mini rant over.
