I should be there. Whether or not I’ll have a team is another question. So if anyone would possibly want a sub par player as a merc I’m your man! (Assuming I can’t get the band back together)

Does shared BSB/General count for Hellfist? I have a feeling I know what the answer to this will be.

  • The latter.

  • As long as it’s in the area that’s the most important thing. Any event you hold I’ll come to (work permitting) and might be able to bring another southern Maryland guy with me (although his life is about to be over come January).

  • Quote from TheEvilOne: “Are there tournaments in Baltimore? ” I think they have had two there so far. A one day which didn’t draw a big crowd (mainly because it was on New Years Eve) and a GT which drew around 35ish players.

  • It was a thundercocks podcast. They were doing a tournament review and heard it from there. Probably going to give it a run Thursday we shall see how it goes.

  • oh, and 64 scrapling bow shots and a shaman with pyromancy or thaumatology. Should make my opponent hate me.

  • I’m going to be bringing 19 in a list here shortly for lulz. Two units of 6 and a unit of 7. Inspired by a list I heard from a podcast.

Quote from Selvas666: “I play mainly tuskers right now, so those nerfs seem ugly to me, but there is nothing cheap pricing couldn fix. On Monday I bought my first auroch... It would be sad if it never saw any action. A note: without his stubborn and with nonexistent steadfast we have nothing that can stay in uphill battles reliably do we? Loss of swiftstride on the cannon hurts but I can live with it considering how much my playstyle already got beaten with a nerf bat. ” Also a lot more unstable…

Quote from Twisted Magpie: “personally I like the changes to ironfist, as long as I can still chose paired weapons as an option too it will be nice to have the offensive/ defensive divide. However it would be nice to keep it as a single item and be able to choose which mode to use at the start of each round of combat. Like weapon master but with just the one weapon. I like having the additional range for our general/Bsb, the previous hellfist was too powerful and too costly IMHO. Although as an …

I don’t consider them to be boring or bland. If you consider them boring or bland now I assume you considered them boring or bland previously, as all they did was get a nerf (initiative for iron fist and a range nerf for Hellfist). Nothing about the things lost are fluffy to the army (as Soms of the Avalanche is), making them go from “fits an ogre theme” to being “plain Jane”.

Quote from Norbert: “Quote from tunasandwichify: “Quote from WAARGHammer: “It was Chemical and Psychological Warfare! ” You weren't even playing those of us who were breathing thatlshit in! ” ... I beg to differ. As the opponent in question, I was hit first and hardest, and I blame my inability to concentrate, subsequent defeat in that game, and subsubsequent loss of a top-10 placement squarely on the Gaskrieg unleashed. 1. What did you think of the venue? Nice, relatively quiet and spacious. TO…

  • 1. What did you think of the venue? Nice venue, was clean and temperature was comfortable (no late day sweaty nerd funk). Plenty of space to store armies, enjoyed the extra room on the tables for dice, rules, drinks etc. 2. What was your over-all opinion of the tourney? Great tournament and looking forward to the next one. 3. Terrain OK? Terrain was good. The particle board made it a little hard to slide movement trays sometimes but was not a huge deal. 4. Should we continue the Saturday night d…

You can't compare ETC lists to how strong an army is. Dwarfs do a good job at casteling and losing little points, not going for big wins. This task will always put them middle of the pack as they are given the harder matchups and told not to lose to big.

A little overly dramatic wouldn't you say? I guarantee other armies have nerfs on their way(as an ogre player I wholly expect to see hellfist gone and a nerd to IF) and that DH have buffs on their way. The biggest thing that makes dwarfs "mediocre" is their inability to score objectives (due to low movement i.e. No cav). Most events I go to dwarfs usually place pretty well even with that inherent downside and the new scenarios aim to help remedy that.

  • Happy to see the hatred for OnG and VS removed. That was a rollover fluff mechanic that doesn't make sense in this game.

  • Good thing about starting on the last table is at least I wont have to carry my models very far.

  • Well since no racial traits asof yet my pick is 4,2,3
