Thank you for the warm words. It’s highly appreciated by the team!

  • You mean 16 instead of 12? Obviously to have also some variation among different battles.

I can give a a rough judgement from the management itself. Most red tags have at least 3-5 hours days, some even 8 at times 12 hours every day on the project, weekdays and weekends. We have roughly 25 ExB/AvB/Head or equivalent demanding positions and work for v2.0 is ongoing since roughly a year now, which means about 25x4x365= 36k man hours of work on the management. And those are just the management hours which do not add a single line of rules or point changes, let alone art work or backgrou…

  • It just means we did change so much at the same time that in the end we need to see it on the tables before having a realistic change to catch it all.... don't you think?

  • But you still need the workforce to do it and most translation teams are stretched thin already.

Quote from JimMorr: “Do you think it is something that should be done with FABs only? ” Should or shouldn't. It can only be done when a book is up for a rework. Design is done in design phases and so far we haven't seen any thing other than balance updates on AB after v0.5.

Quote from Mirdhynn: “You should have mentioned no date, even as approximative as "after august". ” We not even accounted "after august" but: Quote from Blonde beer: “No changes in the current full basic rule book until at the earliest the month of August. No changes in the current army books until at the earliest the month of August. No changes to the magic paths until at the earliest the month of August. ”

  • The main impact ETC has is not the event with 300 players but the trickle down effect it has on the tournament scene for many of the European local tournament scenes. Whether you like it or not the impact of the ETC is not that minor.

Quote from Mahlzeit: “bitterness is in there about him not being head of content anymore ” I don't think he has a reason for any bitterness. His activity dropped, the team noticed, HR team reach out to him asking if he is still interested to keep his position, after some time he was removed from the team. From what I did see there were no controversy or any internally raised complains before this video. That's at least the official communication shared with the team. Not sure if he furthermore h…

Every Friday or something, just a news post on a specific part of 2.0 and where the team's head is at and how it's coming along. My brother and I are waiting for 2.0 before we start playing again and the silence just kind of hurts. I guess earlier in the thread someone mentioned that there will be a lot more news about 2.0 in the coming weeks, …

Quote from JimMorr: “And why do you deny the community the right to take part in the brainstorming? ” Because the input would likely not be able to be processed. The ACS does the best they can being the proxy for the community in this develeopment phase. Don't you think its early enough to involve the community during the beta phase? This way we can at least present a whole package which can be played and feedback doesn't need to be purly speculative/theoretical.

Quote from durion: “My read on this is: Hey we don't know what to do with this unit. It's thematically central to the army, but kind of fills the same space as other units but just not as good. So we want to ensure that players use it so we'll bump the price and put it into the core category so people have to field this otherwise useless unit. ” I agree that having to solve those cases with points is rather poor. It is always preferable to solve the issue at the core, which in this case are over…

Quote from Smythen: “I think it has been argued several times, that if BLT focus solely on external ballance, internal balance will be left to prefference of play style. ” No, I don't think you can say that. I do believe external balance in weighted as being more important* for the balancing process, but I wouldn't go so far as to say the BLT doesn't also look into internal balance. The whole core-point pricing is an internal balancing tool and not at all an external balancing tool. *) Thats nat…

Quote from durion: “The difference here though is variation - the player that has access to cheap or untaxed core has options available to them - they can take the minimum or more than the minimum and still have a potentially viable list (internally balanced) where the other player has much more limited viable options as a result of the tax being applied in certain places. ” Yes, thats a characteristica of internal balance. But that does not yet say anything about external balance. Just to make …

Quote from Theorox: “Quote from tiny: “Quote from durion: “Armies where this is less prevalent/important to list building have the upper hand. ” I think thats a conclusion you can not necessarily draw. Internal and External balance are two different things. You can have one army with access to very cheap (potentially even under prices) core and another with more pricy (potentially even over prices) core and both armies could still be externally balanced towards each other. The pricing of core is …
