  • Quote from Teowulff: “Of course I'm totally wrong .. but sometimes it feels like they squeezed so hard that all the juice is out of the Army Book. And we're left with nothing more than a dried peel. ” Naw, you got it about right.

  • Quote from Emgies: “Does anybody have the same issue as me when @Herminard talks? I don't know how he looks, but I imagine a Dumbledore look by the way he talks like him like an old wise mentor using words you don't understand. 1. I read his post 2. I scratch my head and try to read between the difficult words he uses, sometimes I have to look them up 3. I read it again with the difficult words 4. I understand 90% now 5. I think about the last 10% 6. AHA! P.S. I probably look dumb right now, or …

  • Quote from berti: “Def 5 IS useful. There are a lot of units with OWS 5 or with paired weapons and OWS 4. Always when such a unit comes to fight the seaguard the def skill is in good use. It is not true that you can´t use the shooting in first round. There are a lot of scenarios with less then 24 inch room beetween the deployment zones. And the unit can shoot in 3 ranks, so additional shooters from third rank will make up for the -1 to hit after moving. Sure you pay them, but you als are able to…

  • Quote from Adam: “23eeah.jpg I am not defending book per se, I am just swatting people who cannot form fact backed coherent argument. ” Seaguard are defensive weapon skill 5. Put the -1 to hit banner on them, and nearly every core and special choice in the game goes into combat hitting on 5s. After at least 1 stand and shoot (which didn't suffer a SnS penalty), and then into Agi 5 Spears. That's before magic buffs. That's a core unit - and it's Quick to Fire if it has a hero in it. Last night, I…

  • Quote from Adam: “Quote from Knight: “Good job by the Highborn Elves AB folks. You guys made a really strong book. I've been play testing the book in our local meta. It looks like a competent player who can roll at least average pretty much can't be beaten if they are playing HbE. The prince is a full tilt blender. The flame wardens are resilient and so very good with swiftstride and S5 on the charge. The seaguard are easily the best core in the game and can mulch most other armies' special unit…

  • Great lists! Do you have results available?

  • Ok, I understand that your answer is "because the unit can see the character's unit (which the character is part of), then they can all stand and shoot." Let me give you a hypothetical where the Knight unit doesn't exist, and it's just hte character outlined in green. Who can stand and shoot then?

  • Volley fire allows for ignoring intervening models, not terrain. Same result? The blue circle is impassable.

  • Rules: Short Question - Short Answer (version 1.2 & 1.3) I posted that in the wrong forum. PcYyAPa.jpg Ok, in the picture above, a Chaos Lord is charging out solo into some Knights of Ryma. The Knights of Ryma are within 12" of the Seaguard Unit to the right. The Seaguard Unit is composed of seaguard, a mage (blue cape), and a BSB with the fleet officer honour and a long bow (to the left of the mage). There is no line of sight from the BSB to the Chaos Lord (red line). However, the BSB can see t…

  • Quote from Munkey: “Kinda reminds me of my favourite OnceBitten360 battle report. The one where his Doombull build got flanked by a Gutstar... Shortly followed by a photo of a couple of surviving Ironguts running away from the Doombull ” I was at that GT. The Ogre player is an amazing player who wins GTs on the regular. Everyone watching was like, "omg lol."

  • I have no idea if this is where I should put this comment. what rules have been over engineered, which could be simplify? The 3 levels of wizard are currently Apprentice, Adept, and Master. Could it instead be Novice, Adept, and Master? Or anything to avoid having the same letter start both classes (Neophyte, Rookie, Student, Pupil, etc.). List building could be reduced to a single letter (N, A, M), and I wouldn't have to constantly correct and be corrected on the difference between Apprentice a…

    Knight - - General Discussion

    Post

It is WAY too hard to find the current ABs. Not in the downloads section. No sticky in the Rules Questions forum. No sticky in the General forum. Right now, I go to the "news" section (which isn't even on the front page, I have to click the four bar "more" button for an additional dropdown to then click "news"). I'm not saying I'm doing it the right way, but I'm saying that a reasonably competent user struggles to get to the actual game.

  • Quote from Master Sneekit: “Well, Ken Stubbs brought the pain and won Best Overall. Ira Knight won Best General, Paul Loester won Best Army, and Lane Webster won Best Model. Thanks for coming guys. We literally couldn't have had a tournament without you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk ” It was fun. The number of Florida tags that we passed on the way home was equal or greater to the number of Goblins Ken fielded for the win.

  • Quote from Telsiph: “Quote from Knight: “I don't normally do this, but since it's a one day and we're all just having fun.... Anyone wanna come at the king? I'm considering putting the battle axe I won last year on the table for those that can table my scrub a$$.
