  • Me too Simon, LWG Dragons be strong with you!

  • I’m so sorry for the very late notice but I’m going to have to pull out. Gutted to not be able to make it. Rory

  • That’s fine. Frankly I’m tired of people whining about how the RT hate us, when we’ve got @Windelov taking his time to find out exactly what it is we think KoE should be. But I guess changing the habits of two years are difficult or maybe some people prefer to be the whiners. Who knows.

  • Are aspirants supposed to uncontrollable before they charge or when they charge?

  • Which kind of reinforces my point. That comment means nothing and should be discounted.

  • First let me start by saying I'm sorry @Klexe, because I didn't mean to suggest that you weren't being truthful. I'm trying to say that what is the point of making a statement that just inflames matters? Is it productive in any way, shape or form? Or is it just a comment so that the rest of the community can say,"oh yes I knew they didn't care", "we are right", "the RT hate us", etc etc etc. On top of that, the comment on its own means nothing. What was the context around the comment being made?…

  • Quote from Klexe: “Personal sentence of RT in a personal talk was: What is wrong again.... I see no problem.... My heart melted ” This kind of comment doesn't help. You have a personal conversation that you provide no evidence for. All it does is frustrate others who have zero context about your conversation because you aren't repeating it word for word, or putting any kind of time frame on it.

  • Quote from Vrinkl: “Its the freenzy, which makes them bad now. Damage output is not an issue now. ” I definitely agree with this and said so

  • Quote from Grimbold Blackhammer: “Nope, you don't! More better cavalry is what this army needs. Besides, crossbows are expensive and peasants...well, you know ” We need more viable cavalry options in core. Dis 7 frenzied knights aren't really viable. KotR had options removed (which I agree with). But it does leave us short.

  • Quote from Sir_Sully: “Quote from Raughri: “Quote from Emperor_Zoron: “And they'd be so eager to help? Knowing full well that you were going to gut them after all was said and done? I know the Robin Hood trope is a wonderful thing, but I am not about to pretend that every thief in the woods of Equitaine is that sort of fellow. Or that every Lord would be willing to grant pardons to every thief that fought for them. Such individuals would not be trustworthy soldiers to begin with and it wouldn't …

  • Quote from Vrinkl: “And on Questing knights. Koe roster in theory must spent 1500 for characters (duke, dmasel, bsb). 1250 for core units So there is like about 1600 pts. left for units, where internal balance of this army book starts its imapct on choices. For this sum of points i usualy chose from (pegknights, grails, warachines, green knigt, questing, fast cavs...) Not using grails is non sense for me. Fast cavs are needed as well. Thats the reason i have never played and never will questing …

  • Quote from Vrinkl: “Quote from Raughri: “You can't play MSU Aspirants, but you can play MSU KotR ” I dont know how many games have you played with MSU KoE, i did quite a lot. And belive me, aspirants with charge re-roll and 6+2 attacks/10 attacks S6 were MUCH better, than 6 S6 with no re-roll on charge. I do not need to paly test MSU with realms. I already did. If you are using them like support in common roster, the difference is not that big. Buf when your primary striking froce are 4-8 small …

  • Quote from The Kremlin: “Ghostly guard. On blt: I have played multiple games against blt members using the new koe. They know how the army works. I'm taking cav/raf msu to the UK masters in January. I reckon I will be able to compete. There's good stuff in the new book if you write to its strengths not just port over your old lists. I do worry there's a lack of depth in the book outside a few solid units/builds though. ” This is my biggest concern. Given what I consider the unplayability of Aspi…

  • Yet I am also a cavalry only non-MSU KoE player, and I'm looking at the army book and thinking, actually, I can build a competitive list with it and will still be able to field a cavalry only, non-MSU list. Yes I will have to make changes to my 1.3 list, but I'm okay with that. I'm more than happy to spend hours list bashing, testing, re-working it and getting to a point where I'm happy with the a new list. I guess I'm sorry that pretty much everyone else who has posted here is so down on things…

  • You can't play MSU Aspirants, but you can play MSU KotR. Yes, not as many attacks, but also better attacks. We have received stuff in return, questing knights are cheaper and better on the charge, Forlorn are infinitely better. KotR are broadly the same, grail knights are broadly the same, aspirants and peg knights are worse. And green knight is now almost playable. So if you look at our six knight units, 2 better, 2 worse, 2 the same. The issue as I see it, is that people wanted to get better s…

  • I just disagree with so much of these gripes. We haven't been super nerfed, people's individual play styles might be less viable (conga lining Grails WTAF?!?!?!?) but I disagree that our book is definitely weaker than it was. It is just different, peasants aren't as viable any longer, and MSU Aspirants aren't as viable, but everything else is either unchanged or better. We should stop wailing and start playing. Yes your 1.3 list isn't going to work exactly like it did, but that doesn't mean ther…

  • Quote from Emperor_Zoron: “Quote from Raughri: “I quite like the name brigand, brings to mind Robin Hood. ” Would you call your own soldiers brigands, if you were a commander/lord? ” If I was calling the banners to war, and the Robin Hood types who were normally our enemies joined our cause to fight off the Vermin/Lizard/Dwarf/Elf/Daemon incursion, I wouldn't all of a sudden start calling them Royal Huntsmen, I'd refer to them as to what they were, the Brigands. So in answer to your question, ye…

  • And so it begins. My initial thoughts. The good: Grail Knights up to 9 Questing Knights Knights Forlorn KotR Cheaper characters (damsel aside) and horse mounts Cheaper Scorpions Hippogriff mount Green Knight I’m also enthused by our magic items and look forward to trying them out, as well as our magic. Druidism is where it is at, the combo of spells you can’t choose won’t ever matter. No regen and summer growth or no regen and spirits of the wood, no problem. I’m also happy if my opponent choose…

  • I agree with @Ludaman. It would be great to know what RT think KoE should be, or the problems they currently see in the book now. It would help focus the work our ADT/ACS do, and allow the community to know where the perceived problems are.
