The website will be under maintenance this weekend (May 25st - May 27th), starting around 18:00 CET
During this time, the forum will be unavailable and downloading the rules will not be possible.
Though we will proceed as fast as possible, we are not sure yet how long the forum will remain out of reach. We might push info on Twitter if it takes more time than expected.

  • Ah, I see! Makes sense!

  • Nice! Are you going to be using the skirmish rules in the home-brew section?

  • @Feanor83 - nice catch! I stand corrected *tips hat*. That is really useful to know! @Alzam on a related note, If I were to cast glory of gold on a titan mortar, presumably then, all the secondary hits from the mortar itself would also be flaming, correct?

  • Again, the AP is not specified as being restricted to cc attacks, so it will affect both ranged and CC AFAIK. Generally, where there are exclusions, either they are explicitly stated (e.g 'target gains re-rolls to wound with cc attacks. This does not affect ranged attacks'), or the areas not specified as included are excluded(for instance in the alchemy attribute 'The target gains Flammable against Melee Attacks'). I agree it is a bit clunky though! Does that make sense? Apologies for the garble…

  • Quote from Feanor83: “Does glory of Gold affect shooting attacks? I would not expect so because flaming sword explicitly names shooting attacks while glory of Gold does not. ” I believe it does; flaming attacks are not specific to close combat (you can have flaming attacks on shooting weapons), and the spell does not specify one or the other (ergo it should apply to both cc and ranged).

  • Quote from Tyranno: “Because BLT whipped out their hard drugs this time. Ok, real answer. We don't know. We asked and just got "Don't cross compare armies" as a response. ” You re kidding right; you are seriously saying that when you (perfectly legitimately) asked for a justification for a points increase so that you could feed it back to the community, THAT was the response you got?

  • Quote from Gomio: “Quote from Feanor83: “At least there are some neat little price reductions: Bulls and Lammasu, Chosen of Lugar, Taurukh. Orc Slaves (!), Immortals, Wolf Riders even getting cheaper altough getting better. ” There are some good price reductions on items too. I think I would give a new try to Burning Steel and Tablet of Ashuruk at the new price and cheaper Mask of Furnace was not expected but welcomed. ” I would agree with that to be sure. Thinking occultism orc slave horde now,…

  • Books are up. 10 points per blunderbuss.... Onyx hammer gone up, as have baby kadims and hobbo bolt throwers (OnG one has stayed the same). Edit - Ha! Ninjad by @lawgnome the Scamp!

Thaks guts, keep them coming! @Wstanley good point - if anyone has any links to club websites or threads, make sure that you include them in the notes!

  • ASAW does make me chuckle; I swear that the ID team are the only ones that take it seriously half the time ! @Gomio, the TC with BF would be ok. I would certainly live with that!

  • Quote from Gomio: “Thunderous Charge (+1 armour, 2+ max) could be added to all CoA units. Its not against grinding ASAW, instead it helps a bit with it and promotes taking the offensive in your turn. Of course, things like this doesnt come for free, but I would expect a price according to how situational the rule is. ” Personally, I would rather have CoA as is than TC (+1A) on our infantry. I have actually found it useful of late (having moved away from flintlocks to regular CG in block form).

@Skarloc, some good points and thank you for pointing out the other thread. I have had a think and will continue this thread; given how out of date the other is, and the recent transition to 2.0, it is possible that much of the content may no longer be relevant (clubs no longer playing etc). The primary reason though is that it is not sorted in any way, which makes it difficult to find info without trawling thought several pages of text. What I will do however, is look at transferring some of th…
