Quote from Ferkinason: “And I assume most of us don't want the army to be full of non humans but rather primarily humans. We can still give options to fill the army with non humans IF players REALLY want it. But this shouldn't be the norm. ” i Dont know, why that ? I dont see non-human core, like a "for player who really want it", but more like the norm into a mercenary army. What means a mercenary armys, that means, an army gather by monney, without any geographical coherence. Like into T9A wor…

@Ferkinason But it was already decided that there is non-human into core. (That are unlocked by character). At least that was the result of the poll. So lets try to compose with this situation. Maybe you right about presentation, and each unit could get his own entry. But then we need think again all core unit to not get too much entry.

Quote from XaireTharisae: “That's why I was saying it's a shame to have only "by character" race opening, we loose a great opportunity to do something new and unique... more than just copy GW old work... ” Well keep in mind that it was only for core entry. Seems not stupid that if you decide to make a mercenary army with a core more oriented ogre than human, you get some ogre character. But i dont think we talk about any character opening for the rest of the book. So it keep lot of space into ot…

But dan ? If we get different race; it means we already have lot of entry. So i dont see any reason to give them lot of weapon option. On contrary let specialized them. If i undersatnd what you say: - Option A: One swissknife race unit Offering 4 different equipment - Option B: 4 specialized unit And you say option A is better than B to avoid a mess into unit entry; Why not consider - Option C: Only one specialized unit. You say: Quote from Dan: “But to specifically make a “pirate” entry is limi…

Quote from Dan: “I don’t think the idea was to make “Dwarf Duellists”, but for a character upgrade to unlock an otherwise non-core unit: Halflings, Elves, Dwarves, etc. ” But i believed the poll was : "Should we allow multiple races to represent Core units (i.e., Elf Pikemen, Dwarf Crossbowmen, etc.)" So we was talking about core unit isent it ? Quote from Dan: “’m not sure it’s possible to realistically balance and price a unit of Human/Dwarf/Elf/Halfling Duellists, for example. ” Did you look …

OK for the method @Dan But then how conciliate the choice of core structure with the multi race option ? As actually i see the equipment and description of our cor unit, fitting more to human than other race. In your mind duellist or pikeman arent associate to any race ?

@XaireTharisae But i focus ! I focus about core unit... But for this i need to talk alittle about character ( sorry) Because it seem a majority agree to give multirace option to the book, and that character unlocking core, was the favorite option, even if it was not mine. ( If we want to create a great book, we cannot cut all the book in small part on work separatly on all of them. We can focus on some part of the book (Like actually core), but we have to take in consideration all that could imp…

Here it is: dropbox.com/s/lgo4c11vhuhrer6/Homebrew%20company.pdf?dl=0 I dont find a good template, so the presentation isent good, but its give some idea of what i propose. A system with Renown captain, being character but with the rule not a leader, and forced to stay in an unit due the captain rule. They unlock some option for core unit, (and for futur possibly also maybe for special) I remove the leader / renown leader option to clarify situation. The human captain dont unlock anything, but g…

i dont find situation so confuse ^^.. Maybe at one point, create a small council to make the final touch will be necessary, but actually, and with the help of the dan's poll; i see something becoming more detailed. I think we need to finalize core unit. The ramassmiette proposition is good, but i think before go further with core unit decision, we need to make one step into the character direction. - To decide how other race than human could be bring into core ? Is it with character or not. Seem…

  • @fabambina I think the answer to your question is pretty easy: First what was your last version of warhammer you play ? If it was 8th ed, then did you like it ? - Yes then you can maybe prefer V1.1 ( but try once the V2.0) - Not really, then try V2.0 If it was 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th edition ? Then play V2.0 directly, there is lot of new stuff, but finally you will se that the game is really better than before. (and there is no more difference between 7th edition and 8th edition, than between 7t…

what about something not in relation with armor. Pavise: the unit is always considered as defending a wall. (so would give hard cover, and distracting against front charge.)

If champion with magical item is an issue. We could also imagine to get some cheap character with 2 Hp "unit leader" With one variation per race. (Human, ogre, elve, dwarf ..) And to incitate to play them into their unit, give them to all a spcecial rules, that apply only is they have joined an unit of their own race.
