Quote from hmjesus: “I'm giving it a go this weekend, which is going to probably go badly, but I've got an Adeptophant, Book, Casket. So 4 spells, all of which I'll want every turn, and depending on choices, all 4 of which the enemy should need to stop. And The Adeptophant with book is in a Scout Cav block following the 28 strong block of PW necro guard with Pharoah and Harbinger. ” Wont a skeleton block be cheaper, can hide and do better?

  • I could see a massive hammer ignoring parry. Nice that you have a (usually wooden) shield but take a couple bashes with a big hammer and either your arm or you shield will give way at some point. So keep the hammer +2 AP, ignore parry? Will not help de Knights much but the KC will benefit.

Quote from Nicreap: “Quote from Bialy: “Ok, thanks. And last question about chariots. From supporting attacks they have 3 or 4? It was already somewhere, but I could not find it. ” Quote from Folomo: “2x2 (2 models) support attacks per chariot. ” To clarify this, they get 4 supporting attacks, ONLY if it is a skeleton chariot, characters in the 2nd rank get only 3 supporting attacks, ” To be more clear: -BRB says: maximum of 3 supporting attacks per model part, harnessed models parts can't make …

Probably missed this suggestion but I would like to see a special entry for knights with options for different orders. Without giving names to the orders but only rule suggestions: -Hard target & Distracting -Frenzy, Battle Focus and maybe paired weapons -Weapon Master & Lightning Reflexes -Maybe an option wit Aegis but I guess KoE will be sad if we have those. For the core option I think the cav hammer needs a change. I like the permanent +1 ap and devastating charge (+1 Strength) suggestion.

All cav should have a basic devastating charge bonus not quite sure what tho. maybe 1d3 impact hits per full rank vs infantry only. Most cavalry just don't do the damage they should do and rubber-lance alot.

  • Quote from Smythen: “I actually disagree with the "not a leader" role. An inquisitor would be cool as a leader, specifically for units like milita, knights and reiters, that he fits perfectly with. giving them the slight upgrade to Dis8 is not even that good, but would feel good. ” well if he joins them then nothing prevents the unit from using his better discipline. Not a leader only mentions that he cannot be a General, he still "leads" his unit as you can choose between dis scores if there ar…

With a resurrection score of only 3 they are not that great in my opinion but I have not tried them yet with the new Hierophant rule or with the new Book of the Dead. 8 Shabti's in a unit are about 70 points more expensive than a 30 NG unit but have AS4+ which allows them to live longer to actually get into combat and have more attacks and stomps. You lose poison and lethal strike but Shabti's compensate with S5 (or 6 with halberds). They have resurrection score of 2 which is not a big differenc…

  • Well as you want to soften up your targets, a catapult could help. If you drop one scorpion as well you can take two. You could also increase the number of shabti archers.

  • What is the purpose of the Crown of the Pharaohs? You have only the scouts, skeletons and chariots who can benefit from Undying Will. The Shabti Archers, scorpions and the bowlossus can't benefit.

  • Quote from Cicciuz: “Quote from ThewouldbePharaoh: “yes, cannon mode on. In my list I tried the buffer/healer mode and NOTHING were too far to get the right tool at the moment of need. The only limit were my opponent's dispel rolls. Great Double ark plus the new hierophant rule and book of the dead give us the best magic phase I could ask, so thanks to all the guys in our ADT and ACS for the great job! ” does the ark stack on the book of the dead?It will be nice to have more than 1 aura healer t…

  • Quote from TheSpid: “Quote from mortetie: “Quote from hmjesus: “Quote from Nicreap: “Quote from Squirrelloid: “Putting on a maille shirt is easy. Operating a steam tank, and more importantly, the infrastructure to keep a steam tank operational, is a bit complex for skeletons who can only think when a pharoah is nearby, much less figure out stuff they have no context for in life. ” I don't know man, metal box in a desert? Steam sounds like it would be pretty easy to make That's why you don't use …

  • I want plate amour for the colossi made from steam tanks.

  • Quote from Palmu: “Quote from setepenmentou: “Notice, now we have heavy armour for chariots, we can ask why the Nobles finest warriors and bodyguards can't have access to heavy armour too. #HeavyArmourForNecroguards ” Too hot to march in heavy armor. In Undeath only the characters have realized the benefits of heavy armor even while moving on foot, since the negative sides no longer matter. And the crafting arts of Naptesh are rather lacking in these days, mass-smithing of heavy armor sets is di…

  • Quote from noir: “Quote from Squirrelloid: “Quote from Giladis: “Quote from umbranar: “Can someone who plays the army join BLT please? ” One of the most active BLT members took DE to WTC just last month. So I doubt the army is "misunderstood". ” Pretty sure he didn't use an on-foot cult priest. When people want someone on BLT who actually plays DE, they mean someone who experiments with the whole book, not plays variations of a single list for a couple months. I'm sure said person really underst…

  • Quote from yrtomin: “Just realized NG can buy halberds for 2 points instead 3. PW however are really good, will have to think about it... ” It's a choice between higher strength or fishing for poison hits. Especially with a harbinger I think PW is better for fishing for 6's. With the new hierophant rule I am trying to get a big block in my list back and see how they work.

  • Quote from DarkSky: “Quote from noir: “BLT said about the priest literally they think it’s a strong rule ” ” Can someone who plays the army join BLT please?

  • The ruling is already in the new version of the book. Very small victory for 70 points. I guess it has some use but I rather have my lord be in combat fast (yema) or blender things with hatred (nabh).

  • My experience so far is that they struggle against about anything with higher agility, especially if not charging. The static combat res is often the a big problem, killing multiple chariots some times. I guess I'm not doing it right or face hard match-ups :p

  • Imo, medium cavalry should have rules to make disrupting steadfast easier. Heavy Cav is to stick and dish out the damage, light cav to be fast and harrass. Medium cavalry should be fast and be more supportive to other units already in combat. Could be that they only need 1 full rank to be disrupting or diminish the effect of enemy ranks or giving extra combat res when aiding another unit in combat.

  • The most important thing that I tend to forget is protect your hierophant. Sometimes I just don't check charge arcs, distances and overruns well enough resulting in losing my bunker and my hierophant.
