  • I met a guy at work who plays all of GW games. I explained 9th to him and was very excited about it. He came back to me 2 days later and said he started reading the rules and gave up after 30 minutes. They were so poorly written and made him flip around to see what a rule really meant that he got lost and uninterested. This guy writes and works to technical documents for nuclear subs so reading 'rules' is what he does for a living. I'm not as into this project as many are. I find myself lost try…

  • In other results ..... In formula D Jerry got killed within 9 spaces of his start... brandon failed to clear the Colorado River on a jump and The "Enforcer", aka me, broke every ones car to have the first ever 'only in gear 1 baby' finish! oh and in GOT, Phil Blake of House Arryn won GOT 7 player and Shannon became the second man to emo tap out due to the beat down Brandon put on him. Be prepared for next time...

Mountain Mayhem.... yes the GT is important. The formula D racing game is where the big boys play and the Enforcer is coming to beat you fools into the wall.

We, people who have been around this project, follow this stuff easy (debatable!) but to an outsider it is very confusing and messy. Just throwing it out there. I'm sure he is not the only person who saw some 9th Age and wanted to learn the game but was turned off by the writing and overlapping rules. It's a messy system IMHO as well. I find reading the army entries difficult at times because they have rules referring to rules that often refer to another rule. If you don't have everything down t…

I really never wanted to get on this thread again.... but I found a guy at work that played GW games and loves fantasy. He never played the old game. I told him about 9th and how it works. He was thrilled such a game was out there. The next day he came in and told me he visited this site and downloaded the rules. Then he said "I had to stop reading them after 20 minutes. They are really confusing." Now this is a guy who reads and writes technical engineering documents for nuclear submarines and …

  • Over this past weekend an awesome event was held here in Va. The CGL gaming club decided to find out who the best player among their ranks was and asked me come up to the event as a sort of T.O./helper. The CGL is the back bone of the Mid Atlantic community and really the East Coast 9th Age scene. 14 members of the club participated in the event (those that did not shall be shamed for one year) to see who was the very best CGL player in the WORLD! I asked for something that spice up this three g…
