Roger that, streamlining with the rest of T9A legalities, update to happen soon.

  • This is just a link thread in the army forum to keep VS players & developers conscious of the homebrew army book. Same thing in DH section for Kegiz Gavem & DH and ID forums for Copper Mountain Dwarf background. Outreach, an advertisement and heads-up: If you're not visible, you don't exist, as we say about businesses in Sweden. Forum word of mouth by redundancy. I was just posting the concept art in it because there strangely is no sticky Art & Background thread in the VS forum as there is in t…

Rules speculation has started over here. I've no idea what should be done. If lethal strike against large monsters is too much, then perhaps combat focus against them? Also, perhaps make the stilts an optional upgrade and weave in some bravest-warriors-take-to-the-field-on-stilts mixed with Anteater community awe and low level magic woven into it (at least backgroundwise, even if no actual magic is involved)?

  • Wow, dedicated work all round! This is great to follow. You're steering a brilliant course. Keep at it! Good question on banners. You could always keep it without raised details and only go for cloth folds so that anyone could add his army's symbol onto the hanging banner. even if he wants no shield.

  • Envious of longshank shenanigans!? Don't you know that a sphere is the perfect body form? You're not supposed to be able to walk under someone to get past. That height is indecent. I guess some skirmish formation and movement hindrance could be relevant? Maybe less likelihood of drowning in rivers if one wish extra layer of details.

We'll await legal expertise and change if need be, but the intention behind the words is squarely to put entered artworks in the public domain, sacrificing exclusive rights. Specifically to give T9A smooth access to use good art entries (with the expectation that due credits are always given), but also unlocking art to the general public, so that e.g. someone writing a homebrew army book in whatever system can use it (expected credit given) without asking for permission in distant years to come,…

  • As a homage to that intuitive image of bipedal anteater-men, here's an African cousin of the anteater family, an aardvark. I hope there's space enough for all manner of mammals-turned-humanoids in this shunned horde of mound-dwellers and anteaters? Dress from Dogon ceremonial warrior attire (you gotta love how less-is-more didn't count back in the day when these styles were developed). Being fantasy, the below concept takes the over-the-top step of turning ceremonial stiltwalking into a tool use…

Very promising concepts! I'll confess to be in the minority who likes the idea of actual anteaters, even though they're South-Central American. Perhaps something for Virentian Vermin Swarms? I hope there's space enough for all manner of mammals-turned-humanoids in this shunned horde of mound-dwellers and anteaters? Dress from Dogon ceremonial warrior attire (you gotta love h…

Where would rats be but down some hole? It's educational, and you could always invent your own style rather than mimicking something existing closely! Also, you could paint on skin, but keep it reasonably flat (e.g. someone's back or one side of an arm or leg). Tattoos would by the way be welcome. As long as it's a reasonably 2D/flat surface. Tip: Powdered coal, ash and ochre are good starting places if you're going to put some different colours into it. Mixing egg into the natural pigments will…

Good work, @Blonde Beer! Thank you. And also huge thanks to Henrypmiller and tiny for making this a reality. Quote from Eldan: “So, are we still on for mud painted on walls? I could do stick figures. ” Try it! We wouldn't disqualify cave painting style entries on principle.

  • Great Halfling unit! Keep at it.

  • I own some LKM models and a friend of mine have a painted unit of his own. The castings in the flesh are as crisply detailed as the 3D-renders look. You can safely assume that what you see, is what you will get in the end product of resin models. Stellar work, Adrian! Best of luck.

  • Since this kind of sticky thread are about both background & artwork for other armies on T9A, this will be mentioned here: The first Art Contest features Warriors of the Dark Gods against others for a theme.

  • Thanks! I agree, wicker shields fit the look well, particularly for slaves Quote from Shlagrabak: “Need to see this happen! Where did you find these sculpting tutorials? ” Cheers! I made them. Since T9A does not yet sport a tutorial section, here's the bunch. Didn't have time to make a wicker shield, but here are some conversions for the heck of it. Attacking cloth and leather surfaces with a needle can help give a frayed look, and is quick work: iRLHl1L.jpg

@Pawel Parol wishes to donate artwork to T9A in the gallery, but despite never having uploaded a single picture before, he gets the following error message: "You have exceeded your storage limit and cannot upload new images. You must delete existing images to free up some space." If it helps, it also says that he can upload 100 images with 0 bytes. Has this happened before? What can be done?

  • Amazing terrain builds and detailwork. This log is one to savour and follow. Keep it up!

  • Master Artigas over on Deviantart has kindly illustrated an Ethiopian Dwarf for the Ninth Age: Be welcome to leave a comment for him under the artwork on Deviantart.
