  • Quote from pripz: “fireforge-games.com/accessorie…tasy-knights-shields.html, perhaps? probably a little cheaper on discounter sites. They are embossed, but being resin should be easy to file off. ” That is the style. But it will run into 35€ just on shields. Half the price would be doable

  • So i dont like the shield on GW Barrow Guard and Knights and I need to buy new ones. However I need about 60 shields in total so I need them to be relatively cheap and plastic if possible. This is the style I am going after. preview.turbosquid.com/Preview…-22c4b886881cOriginal.jpg It needs not to have any design engrave so just plain shields. Anybody know any company selling something similar

Quote from Eru: “The new Nighthaunt models look really amazing. I hope the scale of the new dark coach will be right. It looks like we'll have brand new nice wraiths, mounted or on foot too. Some nice mounted option for the character (fell wraith). The new Dark Coach model having 4 mounts, I mean, they adapted their models to fit our book with the augmented chassis option or what?! :p ” Does anybody really play with the extended chasis? I didnt think it was worthy.

  • I started playing it cause I missed WFB. What I found here was a lot of people enjoying their hobby and wanting to improve. I think it is a project worth getting into.

I would suggest that if the teams in charge of streamlining rules have good ideas but think they cannot be implemented by the time of Gold due to time it might be worth putting a website wide Poll in which they ask the community. Would you be happy to have one last iteration of beta rules in which the solely purpose is streamlining the game with no rule changes? -Yes -No

Quote from Mad 'At: “Quote from Pellegrim: “We are trying to make rules that people feel comfortable reading / underatanding while leanring playing this game. You just litterally wrote. "No, lets not make this more clear to we can keep a none-efficient container rule that hides several rules inside it" ” Fair enough, making Type an empty rule is a poor argument. I could see it working in that aspect. We would have to restructure it a bit but no biggie. However, doing this might help learning you…

Quote from kisanis: “Quote from JimMorr: “Quote from Warboss_R'ok: “I think one thing that would help would be to unravel a lot of the inheritance in the rules, so if a model has a rule, it's written on the profile. But the problem is that this would make a lot of profiles crowded, because we have too many rules that are a product of a legalistic philosophy and excessive simulationism. ” Posted it already in suggestions. Crowded profile is better than profile with non-informing information. E.G.…

Quote from DanT: “Can I get more input/feedback about layout/presentation etc please? I.e. Non mechanical changes we could do to make things better. Particularly in terms of unraveling the spaghetti code ” @DanT is there any thread for suggestung rules wording? If not I would suggest opening one. I can imagine you will get tenths of submits.

Quote from DanT: “Re: changes to rules There are almost no core rules changes in the update we are about to release (pretty much just one, and a few changes to items and paths). And the aim is for none in Sept/Oct. And then the core rules are frozen for 5+ years. So hopefully this issue will become one of the past. Maybe during the freeze we can have some guys look at tutorial videos and other things. And possibly have a "learning" rulebook and a "reference" rulebook. In principle anything is po…

Quote from Henrypmiller: “@deadbuc I agree with you, but because the background material isnt finished and wont be released on a large scale until the FAB's are released, isnt it better to get something official in the scroll, rather than nothing at all? I dont know what is better, genuine question ” To be honest Henry, after this post and listening to your podcast I am satisfied regarding the work being carried out. However that is because I read this post and listened to Giladis interview in t…

Quote from deadbuc: “Quote from el rey: “Quote from skipschnit: “Is it the part about armor save? I don’t see the big deal on that as now it is classed as “Armor”. “Armor” which now can be anything protective from hard scales, to innate ability/circumstance, physical worn armor, and/or anything that the imagination can create that would offer a physical protection from harm. ” To me this is one of the problems RT have made, because of too much streamlining. It would be far less of a thorn in the…

Quote from tiny: “Quote from deadbuc: “If the fluff exists why would it not be released. ” Because it mainly exists in long discussion threads among the Background Team and some internal wiki aritcles. Its simply does not exist in a publishable form. Quote from deadbuc: “Right now about this world we know almost nothing. Yes, we have a map and we have the 9 ages in the BRB. But besides that and the 3 books all is spread out. Ideally there should be a book that contains lore only. Explaining the 9…

Quote from Giladis: “Quote from JimMorr: “Is there a hint when to expect Background Compendium? Before the .204 hits? Before the gold hits? After? ” The basic sections of the BC should be done roughly around the time of Gold. Most likely we will then release it as Vol. 1, with some additional material and artwork that has already been specifically created for it. Most probably some geography and religions stuff to accompany the factions info. ” Giladis, I heard your interview for the podcast and…

Quote from WhammeWhamme: “Quote from JimMorr: “ Quote from WhammeWhamme: “We're going for realism. ” From my point of view sorry but you are going nowhere. After 3 years I still do not know what are the capitals of mayor states. What wars are waged. What is political system of mayor powers. What are the sizes of the armies. Is Empire monotheistic? And 10 000 other basic questions you do not need 30 years of development to provide answers. Instead I get random keyhole views which are not even rel…

  • Quote from Warboss_R'ok: “Quote from RepOne: “In term of realism/simulaiton, the idea is great. Now, in term of practical use... I don't see it as a good trade off. We have already some gameplay mechanism to cover this kind of things, like "Fear", "Stubborn", "Horde formation" etc. Whereas an extra charac would make the profiles even harder to digest. ” I think this reasoning is exactly backwards. An extra stat can be better than a bunch of special rules and counter-special rules. ” Agreed, the …

  • If this would take away from special rules I would be happy. In general anything taking something away from a special rule and integrating into a stat line streamlines the game.

Hello, my name is David and I have been more or less in the hobby for 15 years. A couple of months ago I came back to Fantasy and it has rekindled my spirit. A few years ago I started a Vampire army based in my homeland and when I came back a few months ago I just had to pick the miniatures and keep going at them, increasing the size of my army. Everything that was painted a while ago is at subpar standard, since I didn't know many techniques, but everything that I have painted since I picked it…
