The latest issue of the 9th Scroll is here! You can read all about it in the news.

  • Touch of Greatness usually goes on a second Goblin king with paired weps, for me. The other has paired weps and hero's heart. 11 S5 attacks from goblins makes me laugh.

  • Not a fan. It's so auto-include that like...90% of lists I face (or use) have it somewhere. Usually on paired weapons.

  • First off, I'm Jewish. Yay, identify card thrown down..woo... whatevs. But the reason i bring that up is this: this is a very interesting thread, tbh. Followed

Having a weird error- won't let me add additional units to currently built rosters (OnG). When I tried to circumvent this by copying another unit (common gobbo chief) it gave me an error message.

  • So, just to make sure - Dec 2018/Jan 2019 kickstarter date?! You mean... I get like... 4-5 months to save a ton of cash for this?! YES!!!!!!

It's an unavoidable trend. Just like « Global warming is a fact », but it doesn't mean every day will be hotter than the previous one ; still, it's a trend. Ninth Age does not have that trend. ” and that is our strong point ” W…

  • Quote from Grouchy Badger: “Off topic but its humorous how AoS is something akin to a curse word. ” GW did themselves no favours with that brutal rollout. AoS 2.0 has been pretty fun, thus far.

  • Quote from kisanis: “@SkargitCrookfang do you play square bases or round bases? is the area near you ambivalent about the basing? ” I converted my entire change army to round bases (there is a base chart with AoS 2.0 as everything is from base now, not model). Did this as... well... you know the state of DL. Still have my Goblins, OK, EoS and Dorfs for 9th though. The goblins are certainly my main again.

  • I'd say AoS is doing a better job of bringing 9th players over than vice-versa. - The lore has gotten way better, and far more relatable (hell, there are normal humans and even Sigmarines are now human... just...dudes). - The game style and variety of game options, etc, have broadened bigly. - Endless Spells are ridiculously fun without being game breaking. - New minis are outstanding. - Barrier to entry has lowered, cash-wise. - Customization options per army have improved x10000 (spells, comma…

  • Well, re: Mono lists, it seems to be a yes/no answer. From what I recall, core units do NOT have a mark... so... they can be modeled/chosen at your leisure. In fact, there seem to be a ton of units in there without specific marks. Essentially, this means that the theme is really up to you and the few markable options can be taken at your pleasure. So, for instance, I LOVE the lore around Sugulag (Greed). Therefore, I can make my former "Tallymen" into whatever happens to be the tanky new core un…

Quote from Pofl: “When will the new book be released? Days? Weeks? Months? ” I have no insider info on this, but I've figured mid-June for a while now.

  • Took months but finally got my dwarf warriors with great weapons. Outstanding looking minis. Norba- always late, but worth the wait.

Quote from Pofl: “Hey there, I´m considering to start my third army and I want it to be deamons. My ideas for the beginning is to play something like this: (buying guide) - Weaver or Scourge - Horrors and Tallyman in core - Blight Flies and Pestilent Beasts - some redirectors, Furies - maybe an Engine Some Questions: - I might have a good offer for some used Pestilent Beast but I´m not sure whether I should by them because there aren´t many list playing them. Are they viable at the moment? - I w…

  • I kinda dig the unit of 'eadbashas with a tooled-up combat shaman so far. They are pretty darn squishy, due to only having the 6++, but hit like a damned truck. I'm kinda considering a full Feral army with some FGs in tow, now. Could be fun. Not overly-competitive, but certainly viable.

Huh... So, Tallyman center, pest-beast flank, slaughterer other flank, horror bunker with a couple of adept change harbs.... 9" bubble? Maybe even find a way to push it to 12" with a level 1 change harb with, say, raven's wing because...it's good. Sigh... i want to play around with this...but it'll last for, what... a month? Two?

Neat pair of changes that have been wanted for ages.

  • Quote from LostCause: “As I understand it, the wording of disrupted means it only effects the unit engaged in the combat. It doesn’t seem to say 0 ranks anymore. So the support would still be able to use the parent’s ranks. I’m very conscious this is a grey area though, so perhaps @Lagerlof could confirm? Thanks in advance. ” Maybe I should clarify: I mean the detachment itself if it was flanked/in a forest. But that is also a great point.

  • OT: Had what may be my last set of games with the old DL book. Two crushing wins. First by the end of Turn 2 and the second by the end of Turn 3 against a very good EoS player with a strong list. Nice way to go out!
