  • A polish T9A tourney just got 300 people.

  • Actually I think this kind of writing is far more toxic to people on the fence. At least Lord Tremendous’ video can be seen for what it is - an angry rant - whereas this is effectively the same content masquerading as well-researched fact.

  • God I hate quotes that have been taken out of context and riddled with ellipses. It took everything to keep reading when I cross referenced the first quote and found what the author had done. Putting aside his cherry picked quotes and bizarre article structure, does T9A have problems? Yeah, and I'd even admit he's identified some of them. But his solutions make no sense. They are, summarized: -Stop making fun of AoS -Know your place -Incorporate 25mm round bases -Make people pay for the rules -M…

I assumed Halflings would fuflfil the role of scouting/skirmishing Infantry, but I certainly don’t want to speak for the group. We’ll also have a skirmishing/vanguarding unit in core, at least two other units with access to skirmish (pit fighters and halflings), and one unit with ambush, so it’s not like we’re limited in deployment options.

  • Quote from Nicreap: “I wouldn't invest too much effort into trying to interpret that. It's not enough data to draw any meaningful conclusions. ” My conclusions are rarely meaningful. You’re right that my use of the term “data” was careless, and I shouldn’t have implied than any calculations had been done.

  • Quote from Nicreap: “Quote from Dan: “Quote from Truckeye: “The bottom 3 of 4 EoS players are very casual. The 4th I do not know well. Im not sure if 3 of them had played a combined 6 games of 9th Age since last Buckeye. So that definitely effects the average. Id suggest maybe not even counting the bottom 30 players results for hardcore data. Buckeye does draw a lot of casual players because we have always been "average Joe" friendly and its become a "Fun event", not just a tournament. Looking a…

  • Interesting that there is only a 7-point difference in average battle points between the top army (DL) and middle of the pack (DH/KoE) versus a 14-point gap between the bottom army (EoS) and the middle.

  • Quote from Shieldwolf Miniatures: “Our plan is to maintain the fixed 25euros per box policy, which might not make that idea viable. We''ll see. ” For all of GW’s faults, their price gouging and rebounding over the last decade has found that the upper ceiling for the price of fantasy models is about 3 euros/model, hence why their AOS boxes sit around 30-50 euros for 10-20 models. I see no reason why you couldn’t charge 30 euros for a box of 20-25 well sculpted multipart plastic models, especially…

Quote from Kanadian: “But a PR guy wont fix production/planning issues. ” And you won't need to plan or produce anything if people aren't buying your miniatures, and people won't buy your miniatures if you're not communicating with them, and without a PR guy you can't properly communicate with your customers. A PR person doesn't have to "sweet talk" your customers or sell them anything, their job is to effectively and regularly communicate with customers on behalf of the company. You seem to be …
