  • Yepp, I derped on my math there, thats what monday mornings do to me^^

  • The Deathstar approach should probably be with 40 IG with GW, orders, hatred, death warrant and dual buff wagons. Lets do the maths against 30 Executioners with an altar nearby. Both are in line formation and we disregard characters and any prior wounds, as well as any support stand and shoot/charges from EoS. We also disregard any non-permanent buffs (i.e spells) 1st round: Execs with 24 attacks hits on 4+ with hatred (due to distracting) and wounds on 2+ rerollable. Kills 17,5 IG. Rounded to 1…

  • Depends. They usually run with the wraiths due to light troops, reaper and M6, but if the Wraiths want to go charging away or are getting thin they can hang out in any of the blocks. They are not half bad in CC, usually does their part and doesn´t die due to their 3++ (also nifty for tying up chars without magical weapons).

  • Well, my thinking basically centered around having a good array of secondary threats (while my star munches diverters). Ghouls and skeletons+court are ok fighters, as are wraiths and Banshees are surprisingly good at taking points. It is a bit of a boring, safe list that just shuffles 4 bricks across the board but hey, thats ETC for you. I also felt that a lot of the meta during WTC was quite fighty, so I wanted to have something that countered that. It is also quite nice to have 3 things (Lord,…

  • I´m the Lamia-player who is trying BG+ Commandment. I´ll let you know how it goes^^ Since I alone picked it, maybe I am in the wrong. My thinking was mostly point denial along the lines of "Hardest Deathstar". I´ve found that running commandment and hitting on 2+ (mostly) does two things. Firstly, it eliminates the need to cast reroll to hit on the unit (possibly freeing up another spell slot by nt picking it at all) and secondly it gives better protection than parry against PW or combats in mul…

  • Quote from yrtomin: “Quote from Maelstorm: “My city (Uppsala, Sweden) is one of the most prolific in Sweden when it comes to recruiting new players. The reason I would say is that we have 2 grreat stores that allow for, and promote, 9th Age play. One of them is having one night a week that is 9th-night and are also running 2 Escalation leagues per year (starting small, 500 pts and then growing the roster with 250-500 pts per month, gives a good incentive to build an army). The other has tables a…

I think it is awesome. It is a two-dice chaff that the opponent must save dice for. It is of course best with hour of the Wolf where you can spam great bats from turn one, but it works well with every bloodline. One problem with it is for me is the same as with wraiths + magic move. You can never play as if you are going to get it through, which means you usually cant take the risk. I usually solve it by doublig down on all spells. With wraiths I try having 2 magic moves, with The Dead Arise I t…

My city (Uppsala, Sweden) is one of the most prolific in Sweden when it comes to recruiting new players. The other has tables and a painting corner. Both stores are cooper…

  • You choose which one to use. From BRB p.80 20.1 Duplicated Model Rules Sometimes a model or model part may have the same Model Rule more than once, for example when a model gains a Model Rule that it already had. In such a case, the effects of the duplicated Model Rule do not stack and do not offer any additional benefit, unless specifically noted otherwise. If the duplicated Model Rule has different values in brackets (X), use the version with the highest value. If X is the result of a dice rol…
