we visited several venues I am certain @Herminard would enjoy I have only good things to say about Cracow, and if I can I will go back

  • I have heard whispers that a certain former captain Murica might do it. However I believe there is several good candidates within the T9A community to take the job.

  • Yannic fielded the following list: Yannic Titgemeyer - Empire of Sonnstahl 805 – Marshal, General, Dragon, Imperial Prince, Hand Weapon + The Light of Sonnstahl, Potion of Swiftness 275 – Marshal, BSB, Great Tactician, Binding Scroll 445 – Wizard, Magical Heirloom, Talisman of the Void, Wizard Master, Cosmology 135 – Artificer, Long Rifle 180 – 21x Heavy Infantry, M 213 – 2x 16 Light Infantry 261 – 2x 17 Light Infantry, C with Long Rifle 326 – 2x 3 Knights of the Sun Griffon, Lance 180 – 2x 5 Re…

  • Yannic Titgemeyer from Germany scored 86 points and finishing in the top 10% in ETC with an Empire of Sonnenstahl Dragon. I think that is a statement enough that dragons work just fine. Dragons is in a very good place I think, the reasons dragons isnt taken so much is because they are hard to use. We also had Furion playing an what I like to call an eco dragon, taking a very small amount of equipment relying on the dragons stats, taking 82 points in ETC. This means that we had 2 players finishin…

So first of all let me just state this is all for my own curiosity and to have a bit of fun as im doodeling away at work and the ETC withdrawal starts to kick in. So basicly I will make 2 of this team, and a few of the players will feature in both. The first one is simply picked by the following criteria: 1. Placement individually 2. First in race. This means that only the no 1 individually is guranteed a spot, so if the no 1 player is VC, and the 2nd spot is also a VC player, the 2nd player wou…

Its on Cya in Zagreb or some of you plebs in Cracow on sat.

  • Kinda, however if you read the last pharagraph of the same page it says: "When several modifiers within a group are to be applied to a dice roll (e.g. for Aegis.Saves, to-hit rolls, to-woundrolls), apply them in the order that results in the lowest success chance of the roll." So kinda?

  • Quote from Kirmiath: “Quote from Eisenheinrich: “Quote from Kalerith: “If im wrong here please give me a page number so I could have a look. ” 13.D.e Rolling to Hit (p.52)Close Combat to-hit rolls always fail on a natural roll of ‘1’ 12.C To-Hit Modifiers (p.45) A natural roll of ‘1’ is always a miss. ” That doesn't really answer the question. A unit with OS 5 attacks a unit with DS 1 (normally 2+ to hit). The attacker has Lightning reflexes (+1 to hit) and the defender has distracting (-1 to hi…

  • This might be me being wrong, but referring to the +1 to hit/to wound and applying modifiers. The order in which you apply modifiers is completely fine. However, I think it raises some further questions. For instance if you are hitting on 2+ normally in melee. My friend used his elf cav hitting a warmachine. He has +1 to hit as well, but the warmachine got a distracting buff on it. I would assume it means that he would be hitting on 3+ referring to p.13 with applying modifiers. However, does it …

Are the canadians still on for ETC? Couldnt spot you in the tourneykeeper. (Might be faulty). If you do indeed make it to Zagreb we will be waiting for you with beer horns in hand Best regards from the Norwegian ETC Team

  • I think its a combination of a bunch of very elite players gathering a very good understanding fo what the meta for the WTC would look like, and also a bit of luck. I dont think the polish lists where very inovative from what I have seen from other 2.0 tournaments, however the big change I believe is that they are exceptional players.

Just to clarify here, I dont mean to be negative towards the tournament. The tournament as a whole was a VERY nice experience, and any judge calls as a result of the format I have no issues with. I complained to Frederick about us having to play Germany 2 a 2nd time indeed at the Friday evening. I am a competitor, and at the time I felt our chances where slim after having gotten a good drubbing from the Germans, thus I had a bit of a negative reaction to it. I have cleared the air with Fred abou…

This I enjoyed: - Meeting the nerds - Getting 8 games, (rough, but when you go abroad for a tournament and travel as far as we do its worth). However 5/6 would have been just fine.) - Free beer - Excellent organizing (from TO-s to crew in all areas, I would happily sign Germany to make ETC each year for the overseeable future just because the organizing in Herford was MILES better than what we got in Salamanca). - Free beer (just insane, so it makes the list twice). - Venue. Venue was and is goo…

  • Use power point and then record with OBS (most common streamining program for Twitch). Have the pp ready, pop it up on your screen and off you go. I prefer to watch "live" battle report done with a video camera as I feel it captures the feel of the game more, but I can see its a bit of a hazzle in comparison to taking pictures. (Speaking in 2nd language or if you are at a tournament time consuming and background noises). Else there is always the windows movie maker which have worked for a long t…

@youngseward @Herminard I wanted to play beastmen for a long time. Being blessed with limited amounts of imagination I made my foundation from your list in deed mr. seward However my list plays quite a bit differently than yours But I do owe you some credit after going 8/8 wins (or 7.5/8 depending if we count the half finished thrashing of the earlier mentioned Herminard, the first without training wheels ) However we will see if my brick list can smash some windows or prove to heavy to throw fo…

  • Overall I think horde formation took a hit, actually. I think rarely does the smaller frontage and less attacks defend the lack of ranks you get. Sure some elves are strong, but they where strong before. Horde formation isnt what makes the elven hard hitters strong, it is the lack of pyromancy (and generally) the blasty missiles, and that most (if not all) quantity shooting armies got punished. If you have a look at our local meta, none of these armies mentioned with hordes was in the top 3 (Nor…

  • Playstyle? ffs, im more concerned about winning the game whilst we play, making sure your cheating is a minimum and mine is stretched as far as possible ? Have been doing a lot of painting, and less of hanging around on UB2 these days trying to spy on your lists. However I did spot you practising rats with all the diciples, big rat, no bsb, loads of grenadiers and such in preparation for the English team tournament you attended along with Hallvard, Por Favor and the last chap which name escapes …

  • I wish to extend my thanks to Peter Folle who organized this event, it was all a lot of fun. Would 100% do again. Peter was very helpful organizing transportation and providing information regarding travels, and made the trip a lot easier than it could have been if I had to work it all out by myselves. Also it was really nice to meet both new and old faces. I got to say hello to famiiliar faces of TGH members with others, and also I got to met Archeron which I only new by username, now also I kn…
