Quote from Kaitin: “Quote from Pellegrim: “You do actually see what the problem is right? Not the "Brace" part. The current rules that are stacked with unneeded exceptions. Let spear be spear and drop all exception. Tie it to frontfacing and versus charging units alone. It wont make it a worse game ” You want to make already broken spears even more broken? ” I just went from KoE to DE, so: yes please

  • What’s the status on the reset password link? Also, when logging in, should I use username or password? Also, why do you have a username separate from the e-mail? I thought that was soooooo 2008, can’t you just use e-mail and be done with it?:-)

Quote from JimMorr: “Quote from Smythen: “are u sure ” 21.A.a.22 Random Movement (X)At the end of step 2 of the Movement Phase Sequence (after Rally Fleeing Units), the unit must move using the rules for Pursuing units. 15.H.c Pursuit Distance and Pursuing Units Before moving any unit, check: Which Arc the Pursuing unit is in for each enemy unit that may be Charged later in this process. If the Pursuit Move will lead to a Charge, it will be in the Facing determined at this point. ” Yes, this doe…

  • Does anyone know a fitting bit or miniature part I could use to put on top of my standards? I’m thinking either a classical golden eagle, but maybe a small dragon would be more fitting?

  • Updates?!

  • Quote from Konrad von Richtmark: “On that point, I could see such Gallic berserkers with elven heads and weapons as relevant for Blades of Nabh. If I were to build a unit of them, it'd be a random mix of fanatics, all looking different but with the unifying features of looking mad as hell and wearing the blood of their enemies. ” Good point. Especially as the have absolutely no armour. Maybe just make a unit that can be fielded as either...

  • These would also make for a really fun coversion project: wood-elves-team-of-16-players-for-blood-bowl-meiko-miniatures_1.jpg comixininos.com/productos-dest…man-meiko-miniatures.html

  • Quote from Konrad von Richtmark: “The older Games Workshop wood elf wardancers have quite a bit of beefcake: wardancers%2Bband.jpg But speaking of Gauls, I think Warlord Games has some Gallic berserkers that actually have their private parts hanging out ” haha. That is some next level body building. Talking about superelven anatomical grace

  • I think a lot of these things we’re discussing here are not the way they are because of logical reasons. They are the way the are because of fun. Like the reactive player roll: Being a newbie, having reactive player turn is no fun, watching your army ripped apart. But at least having AS/WS rolls makes the turn bearable. Same with 6-es failing - I think GW made the decision, perhaps unconsiously, that 6-es are good. Granted, Dis-tests are the exception. These are all the small factors that makes …

  • I have a very different version of the dancers for my army... I doubt that anyone will follow that path, but I’m gonna throw myself out there for people to laugh at. For some background: My DE army is currently being painted up as sort-of-roman inspired, with proper Scotums for the spearelves and Burgundy banners waving all round. To complete the role of auxiliaries I figured that the unarmoured dancers would be a nice fit. I’ve also recently become a father of two girls, so my wife disallowed m…

  • After doing a lot of theory crafting on monster list I think that the biggest pricing problem of our book is that we have too high category limit on monsters. It seems like the specific prices of the monsters are tailored to basically be: You can have exactly three monsters. In a 4.5k list you have 1350 points available for monsters. Three Krakens cost: 1270. How much does a Manticore cost for a Prince? You guessed it: 190. As long as the BLT-ruling stands, the monsters will have to cost between…

@Eru you could for example take the front page, replace «Rulebook» with «Rulebook Summaries» and add it as page 120, optionally with the current disclaimer at the bottom.

Great work! Only small changes, but most makes sense. A very small request from me: The only thing I’m going to print from the rule book is the summary section. It will probably be printed on 4 double sided pages. Any chance of making the summary first page a bit nicer so it looks like a cover on it's own?

I absolutely agree that the Cults as is, is not very well implemented. I would for example never take Cadaron or Olaron. But I like Yema and are willing to sacrifice DR in core for mv6 scoring darts of Corsairs. What my point was is that Cults should not just be removed as I had the feeling that most of you were calling for, but that they rather be improved to the point where they’re actually worth taking. If Cults doesn’t add value to you, fine, you can just treat them as a single army. I actua…

Let’s say for example that Cadaron was free for shooting core and the other three allowed you to keep KI while also getting the bonus (no cost increase) would you be interested in tailoring cult specific lists then? IMO that’s how the Cult system should work. It’s a carrot and you get it if you disallow specific elements, efficiently “paying” for it by disallowing specific builds with them.

New to DE here and not at all that pessimistic about the Cults. I see use for Olaron, making the army behave more like an autonomous SA army. I see use for Cadaron. And best of all: The cults does two things: - Adds depth to list building. Of course I want it all! Mv6 core, raiders and everything, but with the current concept I have to choose between them. - Unique feel to the army. I come from the army of bland (KoE) where everything is available always, not depending on your general, and it’s …

  • I can’t see any pictures or links here, is it just me? Also, estimated time for end of competition? I need to put some shields on my Grail Knights, and then I’ll send you a pic.

  • Or, by the way, did you paint it yourself? No offense, just find the quality in the commission-level standard.

  • Dude! Take those pictures down and submit it to the competition!

  • Quote from Sabious: “Now I'm just really curious about your thoughts on the trebuchets out there then. Not asking you to make one, but most I see have the payload wrapped up right under the tip of the throwing arm when pulled down ready to fire (GW, Norba, TMS, etc.). Is there any reason for this? In my understanding you want the rope with the payload well under the machine, matching the throwing arm's length approximately. I have hesitated buying one because of this. I suppose I could convert i…
