  • Plain text to jack.r.austin@outlook.com is the absolute best. If you have a dumb email address please mention who you are in the body.

  • @Navster Will update the first post in a sec. Who is Frodo in the list? Jak and Mal are indeed in. Important points: - Start time on both days may be pushed back slightly due to venue constraints... - Contact number for the day is 07927268499, I have a new number now after losing my phone... - Lists are due in next week on Friday 23rd November by 23:59:59. USING 2.05 RULES PEOPLE. You may hand lists to me on scraps of napkin at Mids teams if you like. @Fnarrr It's the most cobbled together event…

  • I mainly play VC and for quite a while played quite a shooty list with double shrieking horrors, banshees, altars and magic. Second turn is better in 95/100 games. - It allows you to deploy just outside range of shooting units to protect your expensive, fragile single models. - It means at the end of the game, you get a chance to heal models to deny VPs (altars/horrors on 1 HP healed by 1 HP give 0 VPs, so denying ~200 VPs per wound). - It means you can put models in ridiculous positions turn 6 …

  • It's very powerful. So don't charge your single model character into such a unit on its own...

  • No worries. I'm pretty chill, as a general rule apply common sense or ask and we'll make it work. Always better to use the newest rules though.

  • Still haven't actually asked a question, but I'm assuming you're asking what version we'll use and what I'll do if there are amendments to the rules after list sub: 1. We'll use 2.05 main rules, arcane compendium and army books when they are released (ABs are expected a week or so before list deadline so should be fine) 2. Rules changes after list submission will be dealt with on a case by case basis using FAQs answered by staff or just me ruling on it.

  • Quote from Commaner_Moustache: “Just wanted to ask. It was just announced today that the new beta rules for armies are going to be released perhaps only 1 week before the submission date for lists. Given how things usually are it seems there may be minor changes to points values and effects after list submissions. ” Yes?

  • Quote from JordanBladen: “Jack darling I need to drop from this FORGIVE MEEEEEEE ” You've just made Jak's day...

  • Quote from Commaner_Moustache: “Awsome. Also just for clarification when it says latest rules, that does mean the beta rules right? ” Correct, or whatever is the commonly accepted ruleset to use at the time. If not obvious I will specify prior to list submission. Quote from unsane: “I'm going to have to drop from this im afraid, Luke Tranter ” No worries Luke thanks for letting me know.

  • Quote from TTGH: “Thanks mate. Plan is to have everything built, converted, based and primed by the end of November. This is pretty ambitious for me, all else considered, but achievable. If you want paint on everything then I understand completely and can step down for someone on the waiting list. Thanks, TTGH ” Sorry my point was that you should play even if it's not finished! Definitely don't want to exclude people.

  • Quote from Commaner_Moustache: “Any extra information yet? ” All in updated first post. No tourney pack. Quote from TTGH: “Any chance the tourney will be based and primed only....? Diving back into the hobby and getting an army together from scratch is taking an age. ” Will think on it. Let me know how you get on: would prefer that you play rather than feel awkward for not having a finished army: not everyone has the spare time etc!

  • I'm in Mozambique. Will sort all these points when I get back. Still 2 months to go...

  • Indeed I again apologise for the change of tack but yes needs must unfortunately. Dice roll insurance is an optional extra. (Effectiveness may vary, prices negotiable...) Quote from Jazzak: “Quote from Eternal Flitter: “Will update main post with changes in attendance. Also a further important point. • Will update main post with changes in attendance. Also a further important point. The current committee of the wargaming club providing the vast majority of the terrain for the event have requested that I ask for an entry fee to cover Public liability insurance and as a donation towards club activities. I will most likely collect this on the day and expect it to be in the order of £5-7.50 per person at most. I believe we will be requiring some extra tables and maybe boards to run the event so th…

  • Phenomenal response guys! Awesome to have filled 26 in just a few days. We will now be using tables on two floors to make this event possible. 30 is most likely the absolute limit that we can accommodate. Already psyched to run this event: will probably be using tourneykeeper so I have even less work to do.

Quote from tommytucker: “Quote from Henrypmiller: “Whats This model for? Needs some dry brushing or wash! ” Its a generic monster of nastiness. yes, thanks for painting tips henry, i realllllly appreciate advice like that. "don't get lost, remember your keys, have you forgotten your passport" ” All very valid pieces of advice... If no-one else said it; it could do with a wash.

  • Generally you just adjust your play slightly in this one objective rather than actually including more or fewer scoring units when creating your list.
