  • Quote from Squirrelloid: “And I'm a big proponent of player ownership of their army's fluff, which includes creating your own characters and stories. ” Like this? The Battle of Hothgart's Farm At first I thought the same way as some here, wanting the background team to tell me who runs my army and why they care and what they should be doing. Then I came to the realization that I can do that myself and guess what, it's rather enjoyable. The funny thing is, I read @Baranovichs comments and if I di…

  • Quote from Adicto: “You just made a parallelism between the so called doomsayers and neo-nazis. Not hyperbolic at all... sheesh. ” you are quite right, that was not intended and was not the point. I could have just have easily said the owner doesn't like the color red and the dude was wearing a red shirt to take it outside.

  • Quote from Pellegrim: “that is a completely false comparison. It does exposes the core of the issue ” But it's not. There may be an assumption of "community ownership" of the website, but this is just not accurate. I'm not trying to be confrontational, but just because I insist I own something doesn't mean that I do. BTW, I can't do or say anything I want either because I don't own the website.

  • I have addressed this issue before but will do so again becuse I see the same issues being brought up now but i know you are talking about the video. First on the freedom of speach thing. I have the highest regard for freedom of speach and believe that people should be able to speak their mind in public places (with obvious time, place and manner restictions - don't yell fire in a theater and don't peddle your religoius materials on the jetway, etc.) But T9A is not a government agency shutting d…

  • Quote from FlyingScanian: “Three problems with that: I keep getting error messages from the map, ” Yes, I just noticed that myself. I do see though that it stills functions, it's just annoying. I will call @tiny to see if he can look into why Google Maps is not loading correctly on the Map tab. Quote from FlyingScanian: “I still need to paint up an army first, and I would then need to meet new people (something I'm generally pants at... but once point two above is done, I will probably give it a…

  • Quote from FlyingScanian: “I haven't managed to get a game in yet, partly because I refuse to play with unpainted minis, but I have two prospective players that I've introduced, one who will most likely start KoE once Perry release their Mounted Agincourt Knights, one who will rebase his Stark army to square bases, and will gladly then try T9A (most likely as Åsklanders, or possibly normal WotDG). ” Hi @FlyingScanian. Just so you know there is a tool (the map function tab) that helps you find pe…

  • Quote from Kovlovsky: “There is a Reptilian conspiracy to take over the world, right? ” futurama-fry-and-bender-not-sure-if_o_1902147.jpg

  • Quote from Col. Tartleton: “an entire society of guys who claim they were navy seals but spent most of their time cleaning the head ” What a great visual!

  • Quote from Col. Tartleton: “Glory to the first to die! ” See, I always envision my rats as: I'm going to do this fight because I fear what will happen to me if I don't; but if it goes bad, I'm outta' here.

The guys have reestablished the US Masters. @SirMC2015 is the chairman and they are organizing the 2019 season. The tournament scene in the US is picking up from what I can observe, especially in my area. We have the mid-Atlantic and the Midwest as the two most densely populated T9A areas for players (both are active). But the northeast has now started to pick up as there was a 50 man tournament in Philadelphia last toward the end of summer. Additionally, @grungimusic is on the US Masters commit…

  • OK, I've read the entire thread ... 1. More background is wanted sooner ... got it. My comment: We are working on that full speed ahead. 2. Some would rather have had the background be worked on before the rules ... noted. My comment: Well, there are a lot of people that wanted the game to focus on rules first. We had to choose one. We chose rules. However, we are not insensitive to the desire for more background. Heck, I want more background, and I want it now. But I personally have to be reaso…

Quote from Giladis: “The Art and Background teams are here to provide a framework of a setting for individuals to fill to their own taste. Establishing the mood and feel of a setting for players to explore themselves is seen as important as developing the story itself. ” Yup. For example, what is an orc in T9A look like? Does he have to be green? No. The rules indicate that he is tougher than a normal human counterpart, but could he be furry? Sure. Could he be shorter than an average human? Sure…

  • Quote from nightwun: “maybe some day I learn to feel happy when everyone says my best design ever is actually very bad ” I like your designs @nightwun!

  • Quote from kisanis: “I hope that @Mr.Owl and the rest of the ExB look at the idea of restarting the blog - under a new framework/guideline. ” I think it is a great idea. I am pro-information sharing where possible. Quote from kisanis: “I think @Grouchy Badger would be good for it - he knows the ropes. ” Remember when I posted that thingy about "group project" and "working together" and stuff? Well, this falls into that category. I'm not in charge of HR, nor am I even a member of HR. So, I don't …

  • Ok, thanks for opening a new thread @grungimusic. Let me respond as best I can. Quote from grungimusic: “1. It's the Internet, you can filter who you want and respond to what you want. Pm's are not even roughly analogous to an actual person sitting over your shoulder, making annoying suggestions. ” What is the point if you are not going to listen? This would result in the online community that is interested in following the winding and twisting road of army book design through turn after turn fe…

On the issue of leaking, I think there are different minds sets here. The problem that I see is that many are so focused on what they individually want, they are heedless (or simply don't care) how their actions may impact others. As an example, we have the DL army book that is being redone. I don't have to explain why to @grungimusic as he is very well aware of the issues and these have been discussed at length. But the concept of making our book the same as GW's deamons book was not an option.…
