  • Quote from teclis2000: “Thanks for the infos! Quote from WhammeWhamme: “although on the flip side, I think those specific minis might be a better fit for a different unit. ” Is it the old mounted sirens entry or another one? I have some (or some more) old metal mounted daemonettes, though... ” Wait for the book.

  • Quote from teclis2000: “What is the meaning of brazen in this context? Is it in the sense of "brass" or "bold / outrageous" or both? I don't like the connection to brass to be honest, as I want to use these worm riders as models. In what is this unit connected to wrath? Is it rulewise or fluffwise? EDIT: I really enjoy the spoilers and plan to start a small DL army (as I already bought some daemon models for 40k some time ago)! ” Daemons manifest in a variety of forms (manifestations should be c…

  • Nothing to be done ATM. The BGT is looking at the first one of these (DE) at the moment (I gave it a little while for people to post ideas then picked what I felt was the best thread - both because they wrote good stuff and because the DE book is coming relatively soon). I have faith in this project but for now all that is to be done is post any alternative visions for unit snippets.

  • Quote from lawgnome: “Quote from AlexCat: “They are the same Dark Gods GW had. Feeding on human emotions and desires. Whats the difference? ” The short version is that there is nothing in that concept that is so unique that only one company or storyteller could lay any sort of protectable claim to it. It would be like trying to say that elves or orcs only belong to the Tolkien estate because he wrote about them at one point. ” I'll also add "what do you mean, the Dark Gods feed on human emotions…

  • Damage spells are still useful in combat armies, and DLbcan still take regular buff and augment spells.

  • Quote from Peacemaker: “ Quote from WhammeWhamme: “I doubt it. BGT finished the last renaming of a unit yesterday (one lonely unit that got a placeholder name overlooked). I think we are super close though. ” any word if the DL release will be more playtested and complete than the WDG was? I mean we all understand minor points adjustments but I'm talking big rule/unit changes that drastically alter gameplay or modelling choices.” Just to be clear: you are aware that Daemons in the FAB will be wi…

  • Quote from Wolwan: “Just 1 question Is the book finish now ? ” I doubt it. BGT finished the last renaming of a unit yesterday (one lonely unit that got a placeholder name overlooked). I think we are super close though.

Quote from Jomppexx: “Quote from WhammeWhamme: “Quote from Masamune88: “@WhammeWhamme the issue is for that army that it doesn't have easily identifiable features that distinguish at a glance what you are dealing with. This is an issue. There doesn't seem to be diff between bruisers and bombadairs, basically putting your opponent at a disadvantage. With more work more people will accept it. The concept is ok, but two people need to play the game not just one ” I have zero issue with people sayin…

Quote from Irondaemon: “Theres quite a lot of gw miniatures in the library. They, as all other models, in the 9th Age game, really are all Count as. ” Huh. Well, there's certainly a lot that aren't. Ah well. Kinda ruins the point. =/

Quote from Xeonic: “Quote from WhammeWhamme: “Tangent: Here's a hilarious thing: Officially, all GW minis are proxies. If the miniatures gallery is the canon, well, GW minis are forbidden from it, so all GW models are proxies. That bathtub is more official than the 'fully painted' dwarfs certain people are so proud of. ” Uh, GW minis aren't banned from the miniature library. ” ...to the best of my knowledge they should be. Not because they're unacceptable, but to make it clear that this isn't wa…

Quote from Marcos24: “@Squirrelloid it’s NOT necessary!! That’s what I’ve been saying this whole time! It doesn’t have to be officially endorsed or “justified” by T9A to be acceptable. But you guys are so determined to avoid using the term “proxy”, dude it doesn’t matter if it’s proxy or “counts as” just use whatever you want and have fun with it. If one person doesn’t like it then screw them and don’t play with them, let them have fun their way and you have fun yours. no one has to come point a…

  • Quote from Kapten Kluns: “Quote from Laughingman: “I agree, but most of us will play a greater I hope "fingers crossed" and the bubble will be 18. ” Depends I guess. GDs will be in all sizes and forms.” Yep. Especially fond of/amused by the infantry sized one.

  • Quote from matrim: “Did you say the wannabe bad dork community that you absolutely don't agree with project decision and that was a huge mistake in open forum after the final decision? Saying "there wasn't enough response from community to push for a change, you should have responded when had the chance" is different than saying "project is wrong, the rocket battery is so bad shouldn't even need public feedback. Also 9 out of 9 is 100% rate." Essentially you're not sugar coating a "stupid" decis…

  • Quote from AlexCat: “Quote from WhammeWhamme: “A non-exhaustive list of decisions I personally don't support and think were wrong: ” Did you take part in some of these decisions? Have been responsible (along with others) for them? For example as an ACS? Imagine, what would you (as an ACS) answer to some nerd on the forum, asking what the feth were they smoking, making change X - if you fought over it with RT and strongly felt the final decision was wrong? ” Rocket Battery was included there prec…

  • Quote from Masamune88: “Problems with the above stances - Big unbreakable, fearless high res blocks are an absolute pain in the butt esp to high priced ( and therefore unable to field massive deep rank breakers) factions. There needed to be a way to outplay deathstar bricks. end of. KoE will complain until cav as an identity is able to compete on the same level as monstrous inf and monster cav for efficiency, currently it doesn't and it takes a lot to unpack the reasons why. favoring combat over…

  • Quote from elendor_f: “Quote from WhammeWhamme: “- Breaking Steadfast with flank charges - Line formation removing rank bonus ” I am very surprised you do not support these two, can I ask why you dislike them? ” Both of these weaken big blocks of troops. The former in particular meant that instead of pushing people to take their own deep rankbreakers, people were instead pushed into mmu flank charges (and KoE has not stopped complaining since). The latter means that line formation has become the…

  • Quote from AlexCat: “Quote from WhammeWhamme: “We're expected to say things like "This was the reason the decision was made" rather than "[group X] are @##$%'s". ” Yes, and you're not to say, "this decision I personally dont support and think it was wrong". Right? ” A non-exhaustive list of decisions I personally don't support and think were wrong: - Veil Tokens - Picking spells before the game - The official definition of "Background Led Design" - Rocket Battery pricing - Grinding being called …

  • Quote from AlexCat: “I speak only on things I know. I was interviewed for the ACS position and was asked this question: will I support and defend the team's decisions before the public even I if strongly disagree with them myself and feel myself neglected concerning them. And I have an examples people like Calc or Masa, whose strong disagreement with the team decisions left them with no other option but to leave (temporary in some case glad to see you back). • Said it before will say it again: Masterless Men: Autonomous and receive the benefits from Pharoah/Nomarch even when one is not in the unit. Good flavour good mechanics just need a chance to get it in.
