  • Oddly enough, it's not a multiplier (type 2) it's a "set" modifier (type 1), with the set value being half of the model's St/AP. Written in bold in Roaming Hands wording. I can't figure out why it was worded this way though. Either way the result is the same here.

  • See priority of modifiers p17 of the BRB. Additive modifiers come in effect after modifiers setting values to something.

  • Artillery doesn't change anything to the matter, it's just a complex shooting weapon that can't be used to stand and shoot. Neither does being a war machine, that just tells you how to handle pivots and combat. The question is: does it work on shooting weapons? The thing is that shooting weapons, like special attacks, have their own profile and won't automatically get anything (characteristic, attack attribute) from their wielder (here, the model part on which the artillery weapon is installed).…

  • I would also make the remark that there are hounds, rats, bats, salamanders, hydras, gnashers and other not-so-intelligent beasts in the game that do benefit from the bubble mechanics. Doesn't really make sense to me that trolls wouldn't be able to use it in this context, even if they are stupider than your average infantry.

  • Those are some high quality models !

  • ^ The cultists came along.

  • Has it been mentioned that the Wrath fluff is very much about vengeance and punishment? You get some hints of that in Circling the Abyss I think this is where Agility 0 must come from. Wrath is not the blind and mindless rage that Khorne could be, nor should it be thought as the perfect equivalent.

  • Yes. You don't actually make contact with the flank since you don't move the unit at this point (you simply later declare a charge from the front arc). This would be a leftover habbit from WHFB, but isn't present in T9A rules.

  • Yes but the pivot is not required to be made towards maximizing, contrary to the other steps.

  • Quote from insiko: “Quote from tiferet: “Quote from Shlagrabak: “The initial pivot is not constrained by maximizing a charge, it happens before the charge move since you determine whether or not you charge based on the pivoted position. You got it right @insiko. ” Please clarify. So, the pivot surely happens before we know if there is a charge.Dies rolled. It brings the unit into contact with enemy unit. So now the move reclassified as charge. Which has to follow the normal charge rules. So, the …

  • I find trolls rather good as they are. They have solid defense, owing to their special save, R4 and immunity to stomp, and they can be further improved with the Stone troll upgrade. Their offense is more than decent as well, with some versatility between the belch attack and their base 3 Att S5 AP2. They fill a role that my other units can't do. Worth noting that I don't use Iron Orcs as my army is all goblins and friends. I would like them to keep their focus on absorbing hits without lowering …

Just hopped on the kickstarter. I love your ghoul models and I'm excited to see what the rest of the VC line will look like. Love that you're going for a marine theme, I really dig that. The extended Excell sheet lists a lot of potentially tempting models (though some quite pricey) but without pictures I don't think I'm willing to invest in any of that yet. Not sure if it's been said before or not, but commissioning a piece of artwork for the thumbnail and entry of the main page would go a long …

Quote from JimMorr: “Fail to raze the city you just conquered and you are wretched beast. ” Warriors have to demonstrate grandeur with a growing standard. I think the heart of the matter here doesn't lie in one particular action ("raze the city") but in its scale. Should the man have planned to turn the city into a slave harbor and other large scale trafficking, building extravagant opulence on the blood and suffering of the populace, he might have carried on. The text insists on petty ambition,…

What you originally joined in for and what your ended up for can be two very different things. One of the very core aspects of these sins is temptation, and you can most certainly count on the dark gods and their followers to lure you into a craving state, playing on your basic desires like one stokes a fire. You need more and more. Warriors are not mere slaves obeying the orders from above because they are complacent with that, they participate. Until their spirit ends up on the other side of t…

  • Just noticed some obsolete terminology p6: "3–4 The enemy Monster, Ridden Monster or Warmachine closest to the centre of the board." p24: Most suitable are probably WDK, DL, OK and ID. Least suitable are probably SA, SE and UD p25: Movement Monsters and Ridden Monsters treat the Icon of Greed as Impassable Terrain. All other units can move through it freely. Broken Ranks Units with more than half of their Footprint within the Icon of Greed can never be Steadfast Also p35: "• The player to first …

Quote: “Petty ambitions cannot keep the eye of our Dark Masters; to see fulfilment in one town, one city, one family, that is to prove oneself mediocre. Bettini was nothing more than a wretched beast before the end. ” Death is but one of the many perils a pact-sworn warrior must trump.
