  • Quote from Auto2: “Quote from Darock: “yeah that´s sadly true. Especially if you have other units that can do the same stuff. Maybe there are just to many unit´s in a book witch can do the same job. Want cheap, light riders? Take Barbs ” But actually there are at least two or three viable roles for WK 1. Zoning cavalry (Like Knights of Ryma) 2. Small cav unit that takes advantage of feigned flight (Lust knights) 3. Large unit, fast hammer cavalry, high strength and high agility The problem is th…

  • Quote from Auto2: “Quote from Ira: “But is it relevant in T9A is another question I can't answer. ” Miniatures games shouldn't have useless units. ” It doesn't. Talk was about unit options or in the case of WDG, combinations. Example Gluttony Great weapons are sub optimal. That doesn't mean we should prevent players doing this combo.

  • Quote from Altao: “Quote from Krokz: “It is rather hard to me to agree that a R4 1+ Cavalry (outside VC upgrade the only one in the game) that has 7 Favors and a 2 Hp Champion is "boring". They were compared to other cavalry from other books but none of those has 7 Special rules to choose from, one of them +1 Resilience that makes this R5 1+ AS Cavalry. Basically they are as much boring as on foot Warriors, and both of these units can easily be envied by other army books because of their customi…

  • Quote from Kaitin: “To have warrior background defining all the entries is boring. ” No, just Path of the Favored kinda. And mostly Warriors and Knights since Knights are just Warriors on horses. Then you have 7 difference backgrounds depending on the Favor they choose. It can always be more, sure. But this is what you get at the moment, and for this price You can always join BGT team and help them out. And there you have this: WDG Background & Fluff Discussion But what you wrote about your visi…

  • You have background. Warrior background is Knights background. They are the same. Unless you think Warriors are also boring. Both units are standard Infantry and standard Cavalry (as in meaning not the most elite in the army) and have more Special Rules than most (if not all) other army's standard Infantry/Cavalry.

  • Quote from Kaitin: “When you read armybooks in Warmachine, every unit has its own unique name and background, why we are stuck with generic stuff? ” Because we do not or need to sell models. We want players to play with any "generic" model that looks like an armored human on horse and make up their own stories about them.

  • Quote from Shukran: “i know That comparing armies is just wrong. I know ”

  • Of course they are not funny. If something charges Chosen Knights they don't get rammed over and laughed at like Brazen Beasts

  • It is rather hard to me to agree that a R4 1+ Cavalry (outside VC upgrade the only one in the game) that has 7 Favors and a 2 Hp Champion is "boring". • Quote from infamousme: “I really feel that this is how an Åsklander list should look ” Yes exactly. We want rules to force a player into an optimal play style, which is the play style we want this army to play and feel. Personally I'd rather see bigger Asklander Infantry units than 20

  • Quote from Auto2: “Here's a serious question: would you take Knights of Ryma over warrior knights? ” Depends on price. I do not see damage as an important factor. One has R4, the other one Aegis against fire, I'd take R4 anytime. But there is an even more important thing, speed. 9/18 on Cavalry? Yes pls.

  • Typo patch released.

  • Quote from Metallo: “probably my local meta is bad for this guys ” May be. Because they are often seen in some lists. No worry as you have plenty of choices in WDG army book. For now we have no definitive data that Knights are useless or need any help in design.

  • Quote from Metallo: “I would be in favor of returning the spike shield to them (at an increased and optional cost) ” If, by your words, non Spiked Shield Knights do not work, why make a solution optional? rhetorical question Making a 1+ AS model more elite is never a solution. It only empowers terminator syndrome: price per wound will be high and every wound lost would make big swings in unit power. So unit is more prone to extreme dice and bad game experience by both players. Making Spiked Shie…

  • Quote from Metallo: “sure often looking at tournament lists I saw them used as CL's "bodyguard" with the burning blade I tried to play them "without a hero" but in general I found them exposed paradoxically if I had 800 points to spend I would prefer the 25 warriors on foot with the GW that 10 warrior knight full ” So I guess you do not have problem with design, but with price? Warrior Knights by our tournament data are on of more used WDG entries. Especially 5 man units of Greed.

  • Quote from Metallo: “Why knight warriors haven't been touched? ” Can you tell us what you think is wrong with them?

  • Spectral blades give reroll to wound on Spiked Shield hits.

  • I think there is currently not enough official background on Feldraks. Are there Feldrak Wizards? Do they have military training? Do they live in villages or roam alone? @Scottish Knight we know anything or have a wiki?

  • Feldraks consider all units consisting entirely of models without Unburnt as Insignificant. That does not mean those models have Insignificant. I see no problem Chief or Lord join a unit of Feldraks. Right, @Eisenheinrich ?

  • Have in mind that if Lord has Talisman of Shielding, then Hand of glory gives him 4+ Aegis. Yes, reroll to wound are kinda wasted on Great Weapons, but they do promote other weapon options which is needed in the army.
