You cannot cast missile spells when you are engaged. I dont really get the question. Why would you need to see an specific arc when casting spells?

Not an easy question here. As the Supporting Units rule overwrites most rules for Charge Reactions, I'd say: yes, they may. Though it feels a bit weird. Using Stand & Shoot Charge Reaction is limited to once per Player Turn. But first using Stand & Shoot and then going into Countercharge seems legit to me.

This makes sense. Stand & Shoot occurs immediately following declared charge. The countercharge support occurs after enemy charges have all been completed. There is no rule preventing your unit from acting in both of these "phases".

Literally doesn't matter. You don't test for Dangerous Terrain anyway, and you won't be Steadfast because of Light Troops.
I guess it's both water and forest since global rules carry over (p.89), and Strider is just that - a Global rule.

Yeah, that's an inconsistency. We'll keep it in mind for when the book is updated (imo the rule is comprehensible despite using "to choose" instead of "to nominate", so it's not "important" enough to be listed as an erratum).

Well we have a mechanism for that which we could use. Could be to-hit rolls that 'Always hit on 3+ and can Never be re-rolled'.

"Can never be re-rolled" would be as much as an exception as it is now.

And what happens when something with "The opponent can never hit on better than 5+" shows up?

So it's not the same thing.

sorry pretty sure this has been said but have had multiple answers at a tourney this weekend.

Tarskin - is it a model part that suffers -1 attack or all model parts? IE do the riders AND mounts suffer -1 attack (and therefore -2 attacks in total)?

Situation as follows:
Vampire Character has Autonomous. Lest assume he is not a general and is in unit of skeletons/zombies. The unit isn't in a range of Commanding Presence (unit cannot march).
In a range of 8'' from this unit is enemy unit but the Vampire Character itself is on the edge of the unit, further than 8'' from enemy.

Questions:
1. Can he march out from the unit ?
2. If yes, does he have to pass the disciple test ? Or whole unit has to past the disciple test (but why whole unit has to pass the test while it cannot even march?)

Autonomous
Undead units consisting entirely of models with Autonomous may perform March Moves as normal, even when outside
the range of the Commanding Presence of any friendly models. The unit must still pass a Discipline Test in order to do so
if within 8" of non-Fleeing enemy units.

21.B.d.2 Advance/March Moving out of a Combined Unit
A Character counts as part of the unit until it has physically left it. If a Character does not have enough movement to
be placed at least 1” away from the unit, it cannot leave the unit. A Character cannot leave a unit and rejoin it in
the same phase. If one or more Characters want to leave a Combined Unit during the Movement Phase, apply the
following rules:
• Choose the Combined Unit and take a single March Test if necessary as per “Moving Units ”, page 51 . The test
applies to both Characters and R&F models in the unit, i.e. if the test is failed, none of the models may perform
a March Move during this Movement Phase.

It affects a model, everything that affects a model does so on every model part unless noted otherwise.
