The latest issue of the 9th Scroll is here! You can read all about it in the news.
Great event guys! Circumstances sadly didn't allow it to be a team event, but you came up with something equally as good.
Well run, nice variety of scenarios, 5 fab opponents and the meal with everyone afterwards just topped it off!
What more can you ask for at an event?

I wonder how close Tim and I were on vps?
Thanks everyone for a lovely event, really makes the trip worth while for me when I get there in your company.
Loved getting to bring the Beasts out, and having fun with a Team list in a Singles field.
@ravenheart777, i bet it is by the unit that panicked off from our first turn.
Realistically I think it would have been by quite a bit, your games finished early so assume you forced consessions with the ruthlessness of the build, mine can unravel at any point, and I win by trading points, so the difference is close.
"I'll get you next time gadget" unless Ed breaks his duck and smashes me last round like he is due to, or you know if Mr.Lind fancies getting stuck in again...
For those interested here are a few photos of the carry case very kindly sponsored by Miniature Art Team.
This isn't going to be a review as such, but I thought I'd point out a few things I have noted about the case.
It has a nice handle making it comfortable enough to carry some distance. If I was to use the shoulder strap for longer journey I would invest in decent padded strap instead of using the one coming with the case.
There are also a couple of neat features that help protect your models. The shelves that came with this model have a metal sheet meaning magnetised models or movement trays stay in place. Once inserted the shelf stays locked in place due to a small lip on the guides and finally the plexiglass front slides into a groove from the top ensuring nothing slides out even if the case gets bumped whilst you are carrying it.
When inserting the shelves I recommend starting from the top, the reason being that the guides on each shelf starts quite late so you are having to support the shelf with your hand which can interfere with models on a shelf below the one you are inserting.
Lastly, the size of the case is ideal for an army such as mine, but I would struggle if the army consisted of a lot more models or had any number of tall models. I had to put one copter in the drawer part due to its height.
All in all I love my wee case, which is far easier to transport than the big plastic box I have used thus far.
