About Me
About Me

How old are you?

Where are you from?
Giessen (Germany)

What do you do for living?
Teacher for chemistry and biology

Since when are you in the hobby?
Since probably 15 years or so, with a gap of 2-3 years.

How did you get into the hobby?
I started playing Warhammer, because a friend of mine always had these great painted miniatures and one day I wanted to know more about it. I read all the fluff and the army books of WoC, HE and O&G, but I loved the models of the Skaven as they were unique in style and fluff. So that was my first army. In the following years I started to buy and paint one army after the other. Until today I always need to play the game for my motivation to paint my current army.I collected many armies since then and even sold some of them to start something new. I love to convert minis and paint them in a more realistic, grim looking fashion, and I was told I'm doing it pretty well. My goal was (and probably still is) to own most, if not all armies. Therefore I was never interested to gather 10K of an army, instead I buy and paint 2,5-3K points of one army and then move to the next. I've played tournaments for some years, but recently I'm more interested in nice and calm games with friends.

Which armies do you play?
DE, WoC, O&G, Empire, BM, Ogres, (sold Skaven, HE and WE)

Why do you support the 9th Age project?
Like many others I was shocked as GW announced AOS. Since that game is a joke, I feared to loose my beloved hobby.I loved the 8th edition and I still think it was the best edition so far. The most fan-based editions that came after the breakdown of Warhammer in Germany are a mix of 8th and older editions and that was clearly not my way to play the game. I wanted my system to go on, grow and enhance, so I was very happy to find this project. I still think it's dangerous to change to much to fast, but it's definitely better to move on and change things, than to go back and persist in stasis.

Whats your personal role in the 9th Age project team?
So far I helped a little in translating the rulebook into german. I would like to do more in future, if time allows it. I'm interested in shaping the fluff, we'll see.
