About Me

How old are you?

Where are you from?
Milwaukee, Wi United States of America

What do you do for living?
I am a Ph.D Student in the field of Biomedical Engineering

Since when are you in the Hobby?
I got into the hobby in 2013

How did you get into the Hobby?
I had stumbled across the game online, I don't remember how, so I found a local store that played the game, and the players there were so friendly and enjpyable to be with I was sold on the game. I then almost instantly got a TK army, I knew it was a bad army, but I loved the fluff and theme, and have been making it work ever since.

Which armies do you play?
UD, VS, and starting a DL and EoS, Wheel of time themed, army soon as well

Why do you support the 9th Age project?
I support this project because I loved 8th edition and loved the competetive environment it created. I played AoS briefly but it didn't have the depth and competetive ablitiy that 8th had. When I discovered 9th edition I read through it tenatively, having played in a region that doesn't use comp. Howver, the more I read and tried the game out, the more i realized that 9th age was an improvement to 8th and was striving for balance, and that is all I needed to commit to the project fully.

What is your personal role in the 9th Age project team?
My primary roll is as a Data Analyst. My job is to take the results form tournaments and run actual statistical comparisons with it to identify if any army is performing better than the rest, or under performing compared to the rest. This data analysis is at the army level, and unlikely to affect individual unit changes. But with such analysis we can avoid such things as the v0.10 sneak oeak 2, where some sloppy stats are thrown out and then the average person cites it for why their army should be stronger, or that army should be weaker. The changes to bring underperforming armies/overperforming armies will fall to the RT and ABC, but the analysis provided should help.

My secondary roll is as Tournament support, so I keep in touch with TO's, help them with any questions they have, and help facilitate feedback and reporting of results, for use in said statistical analysis.
