About Me
About Me

How old are you?

Where are you from and where do you live right now?
Born and raised in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Right now living in Hannover (Lower Saxony).

What do you do for living?
I am working as a sound engineer at a public service broadcaster.

Since when are you in the Hobby?
Roughly since 2001, I started witch the 100th issue of the White Dwarf.

How did you get into the Hobby and what have you done since then?
Thats also a rough one. I was trying some Judo and during my half year learing some self defense skills I heard some guys speaking about Dark Elves. They introduced me to Warhammer. Short time after I was in a shop with my grandma. She bought me the WH40k starter set, as the WHFB starter was not available. I then played 40k from the end of 3rd edition until the beginning of 7th, sometimes playing some WHFB (during the years I got some models). I also played tournaments and started to really like them. However with 7th edition of 40k I started to dislike the game design and the corporation GW has become. The hobby sank in a hole. 40k really had a place in my heart because of the people I met and got to know. Slowly I researched other games and tried a lot of them. Infinity, Drozone Commander, Blood Bowl, A Song of Blades and Heroes, Flames of War, Saga, Kings of War, Hordes of the Things... you name them. Unfortunately nothing really sticked. Nothing could replace my first love. 2014 I then discovered Malifaux. Unfortunately I couldn't find people to play with for the life of me. 2016 I accidentaly met a guy I knew from 40k tournaments and he also had Malifaux miniatures. We hit another group. On that point I had found my new game. At some point I also got into Guild Ball and was fascinated by how much you can do with just 3-6 miniatures and just a breeze of terrain.
In the beginning of 1.3 I already tried some games of T9A with a friend but it wasn't for him. I liked the community driven approach, but I was also discuraged because of the state of the game. So it vanished again.
Recently I moved to Hannover and found a group of guys who are playing or interested in T9A. That was all for me to reenlighten the fire. I don't know, this wohle unit based D6 thing gives me some warm feelings :)
So here I am.

Which armies do you play?
Sylvan Elves

Why do you support the 9th Age project?
I really like the community driven spect. Not driven by money but by passion. That really comes my alley.
It can be a cumbersome thing but in my opinion it gives us, the people, the power to change conditions and take action. It's kind of a philosophical or even political standpoint but thats why I like the project.

What is your personal role in the 9th Age project team?
For a short period of time I helped with the german translation. That was in the 1.3 times.
Right now I am contributing music, as my other passion is composition and films. I sensed a great opportunity to combine my two darlings into one big thing of awesomeness. So I make music for miniatures :D
