The 9th Age License
The 9th Age: Essence of War is a rules set designed to introduce new players to fantasy tabletop wargaming in The 9th Age and also offers a great option for veteran players looking for quicker smaller games. An Essence of War game usually takes around 60 minutes to play, and players can skip the (sometimes daunting) task of choosing troops for their army and start with smaller, pre-selected armies if they wish to.
If you’re new to The 9th Age, or just after a quick game - we recommend downloading the Essence of War package and giving it a go.
