And then people would complain how that doesn't make any sense as flayers should know how to use bow and flee just like other units.

Åskland battlefever. Symbol of slaughter. Those I needed to check during the game and noticed they were old. I check everything once I get home.

Åskland book has correct prices but rules from the book are from the older version.

Playing practice game tomorrow and try out berserker chief with eyratöki and gunagr's armour. Last time I had gunagr's armour my opponent rolled high every time when wounding that character so it wasn't very helpful but in theory it should improve the survivability a bit.

Saw fireforge announce this on FB. Good as makhar lancers as is or with little conversions even better. 66369390_2646103908742250_891411760681058304_o.jpg

  • If I go to GW store and buy let's say grey knight codex it's already outdated. Points have changed few times after it's release in 2017 and new rules added to all space marines, bolter drill, cant remember if there's something more. Haven't played the game since 2008 after all. GW was wise enough to add points only to the back pages, same thing that was suggested here. Arguing that annual point changes would make the physical copies less attractive to store owners is somewhat wrong as GW sell th…

Quote from jimbo81: “wow. they found a way to make the most expensive army auto-lose. ” Haven't seen reports of people losing all of their games. Actually what I've gathered from comments army performs now rather decently. Obviously it is not auto win army either.

That's correct. There are no bsb in wdg book anymore. Barbarians and warriors get rerolls to breaks from their special rules, but there are no rerolls for feldraks, hounds and chimera.

It's neither. Quote: “The bearer’s unit may reroll failed Discipline Tests, unless Fleeing, and each time the bearer’s model kills an enemymodel in a Duel, the bearer’s model gains a +1 Combat Score modifier for the rest of the game. In addition, the bearermay take a single Banner Enchantment (using its Special Item allowance as normal). ”

  • Those big lancer units look so good. Whole army is stunning! There's 10h version of the wolf totem on YouTube. Good soundtrack for long hobby sessions.

  • I'm not going to dig the comments from previous thread but random movement was seen as huge downside. People wanted reliable movement and didn't see benefits that 360° threat radius offers.

  • People stared at it's price and didn't even try it.

  • Forsaken one was also boring according to this forum until it's price dropped and everyone was praising how good it is.

Big units of berserkers would benefit from battlefever. I might try out max sized berserker unit with berserker jarl who has symbol of slaughter on paired weapons. 8 s6 attacks with battle focus should leave a dent in infantry units. Should have enough bodies to put on ambush as well. No idea how that works but on paper at least it looks fun.

  • No. Crush attack rule says that model using it cannot benefit from any other attack atributes the model might have.

I have a one day tournament coming up. Might try fielding two ambushing units and see how it goes. Do you think paired weapons were better than great weapons? Last time I got into combat agains seekers with my jötunn and thought I would die in first round. -1 to AP was quite handy and I managed to grind that unit down. I did charge the flank and my opponent failed his reform tests few times which contributed more to jötunns survival.

How the rest of your list looked? I've tried ambushing with min sized berserker unit with chief on dais and the results weren't that good. Did manage to wreck ID warmachines and their steam tank equivalent in one game though. Guess max sized units is the thing when ambushing.

  • Quote from niggeles: “Quote from Kaitin: “And still minotaurs and gortahs are in almost every list, if mongrels are better in combat, why do people take minotaurs and gortahs instead of another unit of mongrels? ” Because they dont have so many mongrels or they think if they are core then they are worse? Or they like minos more? Or maybe they think mongrels are worse? I stated my opinion and you are saying that Im wrong cause "people" dont take them over specials. ” Watch your tongue mate. This …
