    Paired Weapons are worse than helberd. Helberd helps in 2 rolls (to wound and armour), while PW only in one, where you also have better spells to improve. Furthermore, you would like to reroll more dices when you have Battlefocus. And those more battlefocus need that +1 to wound.

    There is always a bigger fish. However, NG are really underrated as they rely on synergic buffs more then others deathstars. In my opinion, the share mass of special rules and combos this unit have make its power multiplier per spell way bigger than any other unit. Greybeards are plain better, but they can't reach the peak of a properly buffed NG. With an harbo inside, best equip IMHO is helberd and Movement banner.     These evaluations are very useful BUT there is a risk involved.     Yes, but that become useful in 1 match out of 100 maybe... who's going to cast a spell upon 15 wounds wich I heal by 6 each spell instead of my 5 wounds chaff? And who's going to use artillery upon them instead of trying a lucky shot on my valuables single pieces around? And why in that remotely possible match-up I don't cover myself with my array of Large units?

    I still use archers over skeletons for bunker. They work the same for grabbing objectives and bunker, but sometimes they become useful with bowshots. Between having 200 points that would do nothing but bunker or 200 points that can shoot 15 arrows each turn I have no doubt what to choose. When the enemy reach them, there is no difference between archers or skeletons.

  • Cheaper skeletons sounds to me a VC thing, not an UD one. Better skeletons sounds more like an UD feature, that's the point. Both gamewise and fluffwise we should strive for the best solution, and honestly i don't think a price reduction goes that direction. We should focus more on the role of the skeletons and find something that would make you prefer them to chariots in certain situations. Anvil role is what we lack, due to crumble wich makes helping the poor skellies a total suicide for our e…

  • But this lead to having, for the same price, bigger unit of skeletons in the army. Wich tends to go to an horde feeling: a mass of cheap wounds surrounded by elite troops. That's more a VC concept imho, while looking to our skeletons i would like more to have an higher quality (still weak, but not the weakest) by adding some durability feature that actually reflect their nowadays price.

  • The thing i fear is: Skeletons cheaper - - > more skeletons on the table Imho we can already field a proper "horde" army for few points, the problem is that our skeletons should not be "expendable ones", but "former warriors", so from this i would like more to pimp them somehow instead of dropping the price wich will lead to same mass of bodies like VC, goblins or VS, the *real* horde armies

  • I would like them to be more durable instead of cheaper. What we lacks are not bodies but a proper anvil, wich skeletons are not... You just double the losses due to crumble and have no interesting armour save

    Put fancy icons on side of the table and you will love the table. Btw please, do not revert to line... So boring, old-fashoned, counter intuitive, messed up and so on. Just work on the current layout with symbols and icons. Drive the attention of the reader to well-defined key points instead of leaving him in the all-similar white page. Each entry of a Book deserve attention and characterization, not to be squeezed on a line and beign analyzed like a cold string of numbers.

    My vision of BL is more of skelly only army, like a roman legion. They should focus deeply on synergy between units.
