The latest issue of the 9th Scroll is here! You can read all about it in the news.

  • He was mainly active over the forum and we scheduled a meeting to have beers but we never made it

  • @ArchangelusM had a lot of contact with him

  • I attended his funeral and talked to his friends - it was a very moving service.

  • Quote from Cam: “Will dwarves have a common racial rule like elves have LR? ” Not finally decided but likely AWSR will be different and the main racial link will be due to statline similarity.

  • Quote from Gomio: “Is it the same case when guidelines say that dwarves have a "sturdy nature"? Because it is hard to not read it as asking to reimplement Sturdy in the army. ” Not related to the rule either

  • Just a quick note: Dwarves being a stubborn race is not meant in the sense of the in-game rule stubborn. It is an attribute meant to describe their attitude and not their actual in game rules. Thanks for pointing out that this part of the wording should be made less ambiguous If you have any specific questions that don't take ages to answer than feel free to tag me - if I find the time than I will happily answer them Regards, Philip

  • Quote from Lagerlof: “Quote from Uthegen: “Quote from slivek: “Can someone change @Uthegen badge into something more appropriate? BookBringer? Amazon Agent? ” That would be too much of an honour :GobboNotWorthy:The work is done by all the people doing the writing, rules or layout (like Eru). Personally I feel more like the Gnome at Santa's putting all the shiny stuff created by true artists into boxes P.S. Let's first pray to Father Chaos that the 900€ order does not blow up the anniversary rule…

  • You are my hobby hero @Uthegen What could be done for the scrolls prior to 2019: a scroll bundle for each year prior to 2019 - like all scroll issues of 2018 in one publication.

  • Any chance to make the Scrolls available over Amazone? I really like to read non-digital hobby magazines and the quality of the product is stunning due to @Henrypmiller and his team Edit: Ofc the coloured high res magazine - my gaming club would be delighted to have these on its shelf for an affordable price Furthermore it kinda tells the story of the project which is for the more sentimental types (like me ) like browsing through the family picture album

  • The rules guy is just a hobbyist who spends his time helping out the project - like yourself

  • It should be thematically fitting: Dwarven Realms: ID / DH Realm of the Dark Gods: DL / WDG (Note: you could make even a legendary full art version of these books sometime soon) Elven Realms: HBE/SE/DE Human Realms: EoS/KoE Primal Realms: OK/BH/OnG Undead Realms: VC/UD Shattered Realms: SA/VS At least that is how I would group them together from a background and miniature cross over standpoint.

  • Quote from dread_raul: “ ...but indeed im happy, just 3 hours to finish him 1zee3xe.jpg 15medrc.jpg ” I hate you

  • I would actually do something non-standard, like a huge pile of meat carried functioning as a “banner” - it would certainly fit your flaming cows well

  • Quote from Henrypmiller: “These are so nice that yuo owe it to yourself to have them all at the same level....I will be asking for a scroll article once the army is done ” In the meantime a tutorial on how to make water bases would be greatly appreciated

  • Quote from Eru: “Quote from Sir_Joker: “Quote from N3okorrales: “Quote from Sir_Joker: “Quote from Uthegen: “Thank you tiny. I received my test prints right now. Unfortunately there is a stupid typo at the spine of the book. Many apologies for that. I printed the cover multiple times and checked everything, I printed the back - but the Spine ? I just missed it It is now corrected. But the corrected version is currently checked by Amazon, e.g. not yet available - it may take some hours to have it…

  • Quote from N3okorrales: “Quote from Sir_Joker: “Furthermore I would like to paint lacquered metal (likely red and black) - any experience in this regard? • Quote from Little Joe: “Check out this post by @dan: Daniel and the Amazing Technicolor Dwarfhold ” I already know Dan’s DH (and VS) army. Quote from Mikkel Aagaard: “No matter What base paint you use, i recommend that you try and wash with Nuln Oil Gloss. IMO it works wonders for metal/Crome parts ” That is rather too basic - I know how to use washes and GW paints (regular layering, blending, two colour wet blending etc), I was looking for advice if there are specific colours I should purchase …

  • Dear hobbyists I will be painting quite a lot of armour / metal in the upcoming months and therefore I am contemplating what paints to use. My regular use case is basecoat + wash + layer, up to now I am using Citadel paints and Army Painter washes. I would be very grateful for input (and ideally links to pictures / videos) what paints are best for painting metal Furthermore I would like to paint lacquered metal (likely red and black) - any experience in this regard? I was thinking of painting it…

  • Quote from Uthegen: “Yes. To my understanding we are absolutly free to put the cover in full colour (no additional costs). The most easy part would be just to put a background colour to the cover, e.g. the background blue of this forum, or a lighter tone. Would be not much work (just an update and a new approval from Amazon). I think that could be a good solution taking care of your "white", my desire to have the Rulebook and Arcane Compendium linked to each other and our "other" conversation ab…
