Gripping beast has decent vikings in plastic, saxons too. You can easily mix vikings and saxons as the look is quite similar and åskland isn't aimed to be historically accurate. They have also dark age warriors and archers in plastic which are cheap and good source for basic core troops. Warlod Games has also both vikings and saxons in plastic. Personally I'm not really fond with these models. Arms are in too difficult poses and it's hard to get natural look for them when they're holding weapons…

  • Ap1 is good downside for that amount of attacks. Spear berserkers looks fun too. Great weapons have been an auto include for me so far but spears would be interesting also. And chief on chariot with eyratöki and gunagr's armour.

  • Haven't tried out berserker jarl with symbol of slaughter but I've been toying with the idea too. It looks really fun build. The amount of attacks combined with hatred, battle focus and s6 is guaranteed to cause some carnage. Please tell how the game turns out when you get to try it out.

Quote from Warboss Tooth: “Even my player Joseph, he was having a really hard year this year, and I tried giving him big greens to make it up and boost his morale, but then he lost a few of those too.... But my strategy is to try and get everyone yellows/greens I'm not a fan of feeding someone to the wolves period, but I do protect the strongest players on my team better. ” When you get to the ETC games in your battle reports could you give us short description how your other team mates were doi…

Both are from victrix. It's their celtic chariot. You get 3 chariots with 30£ but I wanted to save some money and looked up individual sprues from ebay.

Åsklanders 2.2 v8 edit. I've had similar issues with wdg at some point where the software said I had too much points in legendary beasts even though I was clearly under the max limit.

UD Greek Terracotta army continues to take shape. I've been painting characters past few days. Wanted them to stand out from the all bronze troops and gave them real clothes and armour. 68830507_10157470868018188_8382609433926041600_o.jpg And ordered bits from eBay so that I can build åskland chief on chariot with the eyratöki weapon enchantment. I get an error that my characters are over 240pts even though I have 1400pts on characters and the limit is 1800.

  • Ah you're right. I got confused with the either or clause.

  • I've been reading the longship raid rule wrong all this time. Only until now I noticed that the character with that upgrade doesn't have to ambush with the unit. I really should read the rules more carefully.

  • Mierce has this model on pre-order. Good alternative for feldrak elder or ancestor even. That base is 80mm so the model is quite huge. There's two variants and mierce seems to have buy one get one free deal going on so you'll get both with the price of one. Pre-order info and links infernii_dis_tegroth_large.jpg

  • @Luntan Hope this helps. One thing to note is that the model doesn't have scales modelled underneath that loin cloth so it looks like it's wearing cycling pants or something. I took mold of the scales with greenstuff and produced some scales which I used to cover this area. Changes are that you won't even notice those missing scales when the model is on the table. Wanted to give heads up in advance anyway. 69672790_10157468228818188_891551454492360704_o.jpg

  • That's from papo, right? They and Schleich have some good fantasy figures in their collection and with reasonable prices too. I have this dragon mutant model as my feldrak elder. It's pose is so wide that I needed to build base which widens a bit so that the model fits on it nicely. Papo-Dragon-Mutant.jpg Repainted it but original colors are nice too. Changed that sword to halberd also.

  • Fireforge is releasing these models soon. shop Their size should be similar to GW marauder horsemen with better proportions though. nm-cavalry.jpg

  • Does terracotta armies count? I have greek themed terracotta army on the works and should be large enough to hit tables within a month.

  • The broken isles could well be home for Greek themed UD armies and are relatively close to UD mainlands. That's where I've located my Greek Terracotta anyway.

Terror from Mantic Games looks good. It's quite wide though so you need to adjust it a bit if you want it to fit on the base without overhang. 8498.1.1000.1000.FFFFFF.0.jpeg I also saw a variant from the model above named kraken which is released around the same time with kings of war 3. There are also nice looking cthulhu model from petersen games which I ordered for myself recently. I quote myself from DL thread: Quote from jirga: “noticed there are this looking cthulhu too on their site. Don'…

  • Yes that blue skin tone works well with them. They look much better as trolls than they did as ogres.

  • @Konna I quoted your message with image of your painted Doomlord on our miniatures library as a painted example of the model. If this isn't ok I'll remove it.
