  • Quote from Ludaman: “I've spent the last 3 weeks assembling lots of Dread Elf minis for a friends new army. I hope I've made the safest choices =). 1. Character on Dragon (not the safest choice, but it could be either an Oracle or Lord, and the model is soooo cool I had to) 2. 40 Spears 3. 20 Tower Guard 4. 1 Chariot Each type 5. 2 Bolt Throwers 6. 15 Cult Ladies 7. 10 Repeater dudes (are they auxiliaries or scouts? doesn't matter) 8. 5 Light Cavalry Riders 9. 10 Raptor Knights 10. A hydra anyon…

  • Quote from arwaker: “@echoCTRL What if Harpies had some kind of "scream"? Could work as close ranged shooting attack or provide some kind of debuff to opponents in 6" (maybe -1 aim and -1 OS?) Screaming is something iconic for harpies, why not implement this in their design. ” I like that as a shooting attack which causes a debuff

  • Sorry @Ghiznuk this is on hiatus until I have finished with DE. A lot of ideas will be generated and not used there.

  • Feedback on what Alchemy and Divination spells are felt to be best would be helpful.

  • Try taking the Heirloom Magic Item. Tell the opponent exactly what your hereditary spell does, and they will spend their dice dispelling it. Then you have dice for Druidism. And without oaken throne, Druidisms Attribute still restores hit points to units.

  • I was thinking that we should remove the Devastating Charge from Lance Formation. And, leave it at that. It would help people use the units more effectively.

  • Quote from Marcos24: “your tag informs us that you’re a spy ” oh boy...

  • As far as I have heard the knight progression goes in the following orders Aspirant<Realm<Quest<Grail Any Knight at Random because the Lady decided so<Grail This is just my esucated geuss and not informed by my tag

  • Quote from Shako: “On the topic of "chaff", a random idea: Devastating charge (stubborn). While it doesn't guarante anything, it does give you a decent change of charging something and holding it there for at least a turn. If you break in the opponent turns he can reform/pursuit but that will give the knights an opening or the time to move around and get a better charge. It has counterplay in chance (failing the stubborn discipline test) or by killing off the unit completly in the very first com…

  • Something I came to realize about the concept of making the Assassin a unit upgrade is this: You cannot focus such an Assassin as a Character Killer. For your opponent l, the opportunity to lose a 1000 point character to 100 point unit upgrade is a terribly unfun and frustrating experience. I realize tgis just a few hours ago after writing out a concept for the assassin that had it popping up in units ala Mad Git style.

  • What new unit(s) would you all want for the Academy theme?

  • Somehow I keep being dumb enough to argue with a lawyer. Look I have given you the insight that my experience has provided. It is my opinion but I am reasonably sure that I am not wrong. Trying to reason you out of your opinion woukd just be more foolishbess on my part. It just isnt fun talking to you about this anymore.

  • Quote from Squirrelloid: “Quote from echoCTRL: “Quote from Squirrelloid: “Quote from Darock: “Are Legionnaires professional soldiers? I always thought DE are more early Roman Army Style. So before the Marian Reforms. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marian_reforms That would mean the Legionaries are NOT professional soldiers but some levy troops who have to pay for their own equipment. Or did I messed the background up? ” They go to academy and are professionally trained. At least some of their weapons are …

  • Quote from DarkSky: “Quote from echoCTRL: “If you are arguing that the words "DE have good equipment" should mean that DE has Heavy Armour in Core ” If you think this is the point the DE community has been trying to make, you are quite wrong. The point is, that the LAB guidelines say that DE will have "good equipment". So naturally we ask: a) what does good quality equipment mean? How could it look like? but also b) do DE already have good equipment? On this question we naturally compare the equi…

  • Quote from matrim: “So @WhammeWhamme What ever you've been posting on the discussions are your views only and pretty much you're trying to shoe-horn DE to your personal views. Which is good to know as you seem to forget due to your tag people take your arguments as project views but they're essentially world according to WhammeWhamme and holds no more water then any other forum lurker. @echoCTRL tagging you so that one of the DE LAB team can confirm everything WhammeWhamme says represents projec…

  • Quote from echoCTRL: “I meant how would you actually use them and how would they perform. Not how would they feel. But, never mind. You know you arent trying to convince WhammeWhamme, you are trying to convince RT, who is almost all out on vacation till September. So, can we talk about MSU and MMU rule designs. We have been referencing the thoughts from this thread and the threads about Assassins and Auxiliaries. We cannot do anything right now about armour, and I think me trying to argue with a…
