  • Infernal Dwarf Book Snippet

It comes when it comes. I do have enough projects going on already so I can wait.

  • What I want to know is when the beta book is released to public.

Yeah. That's how my wargs ended up running trough the soft units in the first place. I used them to soak up shooting and them passing the discipline check was a bonus. I've skipped warhounds altogether in my latest lists as wargs do the chaffing job decently and won't clog my movement completely if they flee. And if they get to charge a unit they will do some damage unlike the hounds.

I have used usually one ambushing unit and found it lacking in effectiveness. So your line of thinking must give better results. All in. Wargs are good at chewing trough from light to medium units but the discipline issue is real. So they need to be used with caution or just believe in your luck. Which I've done few times. Survived a round of shooting with them and passed the discipline check. After that they ran amok in my opponents soft targets. No skill involved in that, just pure luck. Can't…

  • I lost once 18 strong warrior unit with favor of greed to a mob of KOE peasants. I bet similar costed unit of barbarians would've fared better.

  • I can try if you buy it for me.

  • Even when painted by pro painters GW models have a tendency to look plastic or toyish. (Is that a word?) I bet if painted with different technique this piece would look better and more 'real'.

I'd say either gripping beast dark age archers or conquest games medieval archers. They are pretty close to price per model ratio. Gripping Beast has a 2 models more in their box and the price is a bit cheaper. To my eye conquest games models look a bit better but that's up to personal preferences. (Hidden Content)

  • Quote from Happy Aspid: “I never asked for full barb army in the main book. Just for actually competitive entries in the main book.I have never blamed the project for any kind of evil agenda, and spoken only about rules. In my eyes - if entry is present in the book, then it supposed to be competitive. For everything else we have Aux books. The purpose of any entry - is to get the job done. If only job is just to be there - then absolutely anything can take it, and there are no point in it. ” Cou…

  • GW wants you to buy their latest models for AOS. They get the best rules to boost up sales. 9th age isn't miniature manufacturing company so there's no hidden agenda to push you to buy latest models. 40k has moved towards this too. You have to have latest toys to stay in the competetive circles. If you want all barbarian army that can stand on it's own feet then try out either åskland or makhar armies. They are fun. Barbarians on the wdg book are there to support the stars of the book. Warriors.

One thing to remember is that åskland giants get shield as a default equipment. So deciding not to buy weapon upgrade gets you to use parry in combats. Not game breaking good but nice option to have for lesser damage output in change for less incoming hits in combat.

Forgot that one. Yes it's perfect as is.

  • And this is not the thread to discuss about possible ID changes.

  • ID is getting units called slaves and vassals. That's the latest info on the thread. There's nothing stopping people using their old models. But there won't be specific race defining rules. Hobgoblin stats are almost identical to human stats as it was pointed out on the thread so people can use human models and whatever they wish as their vassals. Same goes with slaves. Personally I'm hyped about this. So much ways to represent these units. Accusations of 'AOS treatment' are nothing but doom mon…

You could add a wolf or two on the base as her bodyguards who get mad when she's wounded.

Mantic frost giant has spear like weapon. Information says it has 75mm base so might be better as jötunn though. shop KoW-Northern-Alliance-Frost-Giant-isolated_WEB-300x300.png Reaper has this frost giant queen which could work as a caster. If you decide to buy it make sure that it's named as frost giant queen (huge) so that you get model sized as in the picture. blogger-image--1741290765.jpg

  • Sounds about the same. I did some horrendous mistakes in the game so can't really blame opponents OP list.

  • Was this similar slayer list that wrecked faces in previous tournament? Can't remember the details of the army but the characters killed my whole huskarl unit before regular slayers even got to strike. That's how I remember it anyway.

  • Book is locked, not gonna happen. And some like their barbarians even though forum hivemind seems to hate them.
