  • I don't think goblins should have str2. In my mind goblins are not necessary weaker compared to a human. Str 3 seems fine to me. In comparison to Orcs, it is the Orc that, imo, should have str 4 by default. Goblins, however, should have a rule to show off their trickiness more. Idea for Common Goblins: Caltrops: Units that were engaged in combat with common goblins this turn reduce their flee, overrun and persuit distance by 1".

  • Problem might be though that goblins are often taken in big units. A unit of 30+ goblins are not flanking often.

  • I know this threat is more for goblins rnf units, but what do you guys think of Cave Goblin Witchdoctor being allowed to ride a cave Gnashers? All other races gain their respective mounts. Would this make the cave doctor more viable?

    @Herminard I agree that limiting then damages the game for OnG, mainly due to collections being invalidated. Worst thing that I have happened to myself is finishing a 50 model unit of Common Goblins only to have volley fire nerfed and render such a big unit of common goblins useless 2 months later. Also, imo, a unit being taken often or even the most does not by definition mean they are overpowered. I think OnG has no unit that is overpowered at this moment.     I think Gnashers would be fixed with a change in WS. Imo WS says how well a model can fight, how good he is with his weapon. Gnashers should have WS3. They are beasts and, in my mind, feral and instinctive. Same with core orcs. A orc with WS4 says that he is above average in sword(or axe etc)manship. For me core orcs are not. Gnashers with ws3, at least in DS, would make sense and fix them.

  • I agree with you mostly. What I realy dislike is that regular orcs are as strong as most infantry and even a goblin. Eadbashers having WS4 also irks me because that inplies they are above avarage swordsman. For me regular and eadbashers should merge into a unit that is WS 3 Str 4 Res 4. Overal I think the book is 90% in the right spot at this moment.

  • I think it is a little more intrecate. I think that the unit as a whole must test. If it fails it must declare a charge if possible. If the impossible terrein/friendly unit blocks the line of sight of the unit they have no way to make a charge, due to no vision. However if they can see, but will be blocked by the unit/impassable terrein you must declare the charge and suffer from failed charge, just as if you declare a charge with Unit A, and Unit B.   • I agree most things can be fixed by points. Some though do need a rework. Biggest example is Giant Wrecking Ball.   • I do not see these reactions as the avarage player. The doc is just one of many ways to gain feedback. It will never be the biggest contribution to change, but it does grand some insight.

  • Excuse my vagueness. What I mean is that I see O&G as a melee orientated army that is among the stronger factions in melee. They should still lack behind the likes of WotdG in sheet melee effectiveness, but should be able to compensate that lag by being JOAT in other areas. So mostly this "Do you mean it is combat focussed, but able to do combat in lots of different ways?" Example is that we have shooting, but it's among the weaker shooting in the game.
